I was largely unsatisfied with the ending. Akito changed her ways in such a short peroid of time that it was hardly plausible. I honestly didn't see Ayame and Mine getting together. Yuki and Machi's relationship was definately foreshadowed but I think she rushed it- they still barely knew each other when they were claiming undying love for one another. Arisa and Kureno met twice but they couldn't stop longing for one another for months and eventually got together. Everyone in the series seemed to be paired up, which is unrealistic. The only person without a mate was Momiji, which is really depressing because I'm very fond of him. And the part that tops it all off- Shigure quits writing and moves back to the Main House to be closer to his girlfriend Akito. Never in a million years would than have happened. No. I hate it.
Oh, and it never was explained to us why the zodiac couldn't hug the opposite sex, however, I do have a theory on it
Sorry about my rant. I sound absolutely bitchy, I know, and I apologize. Discuss what you hated about the ending or what you loved.

I realized I never mentioned what I did like about the ending.
Momiji grew up! He doesn't look like a child anymore because he isn't one anymore. Tohru and Kyo finally got together. Tohru and Kyo broke the curse. Saki moved into Shishou's house. Tohru and Kyo moved far away and supported themselves, even though they knew it'd be hard and that they'd miss everyone. Mayu and Hatori are together. Rin and Haru are together. The curse was explained, somewhat. That bit where Yuki saw the rat leave him and go off with the others. The breaking of the curse was a wonderful thing but also a sad thing. Saki and Arisa told Kyo that they actually like him and approve of him and Tohru going out. Yuki told Tohru that he thought of her as a mother and thanked her for helping him become what he is.
And the best part was when Yuki came by to tell Tohru about the mother thing and he gave advice to Kyo. But Kyo didn't get upset over it. He fianlly understood that Yuki gives him advice because he cares about him. I loved it!
