It's been a while since I've seen a topic around these parts.
Not to sound entirely critical, but... what's happening? Have we all gone to Alabama?

I am in 4 they are all fairly dead. Maybe becuase many of the younger people ae on summer vacation.

Everyone in the guild is secretly a closet furry and they all went to AnthroCon.
Don't ask me how I know that it is happening now.
Although, seriously, I haven't been in ED much lately, else I'd probably be posting about the various idiocies that people spew there. What's going on in Alabama that would make it seem like we're all there?

I was in California not Alabama. I think the main reasons the guild has been dead lately is the relative lack of members as well as it being summer like Remmington said.

Lots of crazy s**t happened over the past months on this end.
1) I lost my job. I have been searching for a job, but all of the teenagers have snatched them up while on vacation. I guess it's little wake-up calls like these that make you realize how important college is. I need to get some actual skills and fast. But secondly and most importantly...
2) My grandpa found out he has lung cancer. It's been real depressing over here. He's like a father to me and I really feel that time spent on the internet is time away from him. It is also a rough time to be a skeptic, because during this period, he has really started attributing all of his "ups" to miracles/God and all of his "downs" to "bad" doctors/"bad" medicine. It's a "miracle" that he stopped coughing up blood, it's "bad" doctors that caused his liver to fail (which was, as I later found out, due to his over-supplementation of over-the-counter herbs and vitamins.) I'm trying really hard not to let it get in the way of our relationship as I tell myself -- "Well, at least he isn't sending money to Benny Hinn."

As for things, I often feel unable to contribute to this guild's wide range of topics without repeating prior posts. You guys are too damn successful and concise!
