I know that someone or everyone would like to speak their mind about Shimakon. This Topic is for comments, suggestions & whatever else you want to say about Shimakon.

Well... I don't want to spoil the meeting but I will say that I stopped by the Texas Tourist Office in Harlingen. There is some interest in giving us some "Don't Mess With Texas" bags and stickers. At the very least it gives us Pre-reg bags for free... but its just an option,

hmm.. decent info can be found here:
Human Chess

Anime Chess
but here's the basics in a nutshell:
Cosplayers are selected and designated as certain pieces. A lifesized board is drawn out. Then 2 people play chess on an actual board. The Cosplayers re-enact the chess gameplay.
For example, a pawn takes a rook
on the stage, Inuyasha(Pawn) acts out an attack onto Naruto(Rook)
Get it?
And this event isn't copywritten or anything, many other conventions have used it, and iff you read on Wikipedia, it started as a Reneisance Fair event. So yeah. And for convenience sake, we could make it Anime Checkers, since most people are more familiar with it and it ends in less time. Plus it requires less people to cosplay.

indeed..it would have to be held on one of the last days so as to have gathered up a strong an powerfull army.. ninja

well it's a mere suggestion at this point, after all. sweatdrop
although if it were to be accepted, I'd imagine the staff heads would take names of people interested through the internet. Or maybe at the picnics that we attend.

Red Rover!! Man... if we get enough poeple to play, that would be super fn. xd I use to love that game... but there were never enough people when I wanted to play it... you need a fairly large group to make it fun. 3nodding heart

oh yeah and the scavenger hunt that never happend last year would be crazy fun too! whee
iv always wanted to do a scavenger hunt. but was never able to.... emo
so if we can like organize that, it would kick a**!
