
The 5k RPG where it's not just the pirates you can't trust!
Yargh! Welcome my pretties! In this swashbuckling murder game, there be scandals abound! Time to hoist the anchor and... Okay, I'll spare you my piratic dramatics; let's get on with the game!
Post in this thread if you want to join in, and once there are enough participants, you shall get your PM with your randomly selected role! All the roles are just as important as each other, so don't feel down if you get a really cruddy status! On the contrary, the more common you are, the more allies you have to help bump off the enemie!
Here are the different roles that you may be assigned:
Upper-status roles
Pirate Captain - Your are the commander of your ship and crew, making it your purpose to plunder, lute, ravish and pretty much cause as much havok as humanly possible! Your job is to take votes from your crew to decide who will be murdered next by your merciless minions! But be careful, if you put a foot out of line or start to become a nuisance instead of a decision-maker, a mutiny could be afoot...
Comidor - You commandeer a fleet of armed vessels, scouring the seas for pirates who could endanger your town. However, you do not know if any of your own citizens are in fact affiliates of the pirate fleets themselves, and so make it your business to send any suspicious individuals to the gallows. You can also receive any suspicions from your townnsfolk. You have the power to report any suspected individuals, either by you or a suspicious townie, to me, the governer. But keep a sharp eye, as knocking off too many people at one time could make yourself vulnerable to any equally suspiscious folk...
Lower-status roles
Townie - You are a citizen of the small harbour town, mainly dominated by the excrutiatingly suspicious comidor. You live in fear of the pirates and are afraid to say anything wrong in case you are suspeted of involvement with piraccy. And yet, if you don't say anything, you are suspected all the same! It's a sticky situation, to be sure. You want all the real imposters to be gone as quickly as possible, and have the power to forward any of your suspicions to the comidor, who will deal with your concerns immediately. But what if he instead decides you are an undercover pirate fiend, and instead send YOU to the gallows? Who said being common made things simpler.... just make sure these pirates are out of here, FAST!
Undead Zombie-Pirate
You are a cursed, undead seafarer, not part of the any pirate crews, and yet not rooting against them either. You can protect any players in the game, whom you think would be worth making an alliance with. Striking a deal with someone could mean that they will not report you or kill you, so this comes in most handy if you offer to protect someone who has already voted, since there's no way that they can decide to decline your offer to protect them and vote you off. You may only protect one person at a time, however you can change your proectee at any time.
Voting in the Games Forum
Like in the Mafia game (that's for you people who were here when we held the mafia RPG, anywho), there will be day and night phases, in which all the players can post.
Townies can either send their votes to the comidor, or vote in the games forum, where there will be allocated posts for the different day and night phases. HOWEVER, DURING THE NIGHT PHASE THERE CAN BE NO VOTING AND VOTES CAN ONLY BE SENT BY DISCRETION THROUGH PM's.
Pirates may either send their votes to their captain or vote in the post as well.
The Zombie pirate, comidor and captain may post their votes.
At the beginning of each day, the death (if any) of one person will be posted.
NOTE: ONLY ONE PERSON CAN DIE EACH NIGHT. I WILL DESCRETELY COUNT UP THE VOTES FOR EACH PERSON AND THE ONE WITH THE MOST OVERALL WILL DIE.
