Ryuchi was startled by the constant punches he received from Emiko, his older sister. "Breakfast is on the table, punk." Emiko had a cool atittude and spunk for a mature 19 year old. "Oh and hurry up or else you'll be late for work. You know how the girl's tend to be when you're late," she quickly added with a smirk. The boy groaned as he stood up rubbing at his eyes. Slowly he went to the shower.

Running out of the apartment Ryuchi tried his best to button up the only clean shirt he could find. The majority of his keys jingling out of his pocket. If he hurried he would make it to work but if he didn't.... Ah. The consequences I face if I'm late. Last night, I shouldn't have He quickly shook his head erasing the events of the previous night. I have to concentrate or I may fall asleep.

Feet pouding on the hard stone pavement, Ryuchi's long legs carried him swiftly turning left and right on the designated corners. The mini-mart was a good 35 - 40 minute walk but the boy's time was limited and the run seemed to last an eternity. The mart was small but quaint having a warmth to it's atmosphere especially with the cute girls that worked there. It was carefully tucked in a small neighborhood near two high schools, one of them Sakurakun. Some of the students hang around the mart after school ended to talk about gossip and other things.

Finally the boy reached the small grocery. The chimes of the door reverberated in the nearly empty mart. A few of the girls that worked there already were waiting. There was five minutes left before the mart opened. The girls greeted Ryuchi happily and one of them gave him a hug. The boy nodded in their direction while enduring the girl's quick embrace. After the greetings he strolled to the corner where the rather tiny bakery, if you could call it that, resided. Putting on his apron and hat Ryuchi started to bake and endure the long entire day though the thought of Kiseki protruded into his thoughts once in a while. If only life were easier he thought.
