Kiseki waved an enthusiastic goodbye to her frazzled father as she left the house. She bent backwards and kicked the heels of her feet to the palms of her hands before spinning around for good luck. Her father, Kensuke, didn't bother to ask and simply returned back to the house. The morning was dewy and fresh. Kiki grinned devilishly and made a wild dash down the block. Her school shoes rang out against the hard concrete. Neighbors peeked out their windows drowsily to see what all the commotion was about. Her small bag hit against her back - she'd tied it around her neck so she wouldn't have to hold it. All in all, Kiseki was a sight to see. That didn't stop her from being hassled at the bus stop, nevertheless.

"Hey, cutie. Nice ears. I bet your pretty face would be even better without them...care to let me help you out?" the boy asked her in a sickeningly sweet way. He wore the male uniform of Sakurakun High School. His buddies snickered behind him. "Yo, leave the kid alone! She goes to our school." Kiseki simply looked away and walked to the next bus stop. She untied her book bag from around her neck and held it in her left hand. It was empty, anyway. She's left all her things in her desk in her hurry to see Ryu the night before.

Sakurakun was the most common high school in the city. It used to have very high status among the other schools in the district, but had drastically fallen back in recent years. Kiseki just wished they'd serve ice cream once in a while.
