Organization

Being a large game world, with the potential of having several people playing at the same time, it's not surprising the work of ensuring a friendly rp environment is branched through several people and not just set on the GMs shoulders. It all follows an hierarchy, a way to simplify and help telling who does what

People are free to apply for the posts, but be aware this is not just a symbol of status or a way to gain gold. With exception for the artists, this is a volunteer work, with no gold involved. The person does this tasks because he wants to, not just to lay around and boss others around. That's a blacklisting offense
But there are rewards in return. Those who manage to get in are allowed to have a type of caracter the regular rpers don't have access to. And the bigger the decication, the more likely to have a higher post. It brings more responsabilities though

Now that the warning has been given, here's the hierarchy:

- GMs
The people behind the creation of the shop and the ones in charge
Their job is to is to direct the major events, the metaplot and having the final word on major decisions, among other things. The NPC characters they control are deeply involved with the plot course and often take high and other key positions

- Artists
Those who draw the Changed
Their job is to deliver the 5 stages of each person in a batch, or within a reasonable time limit, in return for their payment, to prevent delays or leaving the players stranded in case things go wrong somehow
The permanent artists have the freedom to either take a restricted villager, a lower organization member or a normal Changed
The guest ones can receive a Changed after 2 sequences, instead of receiving payment. They are free to apply to a restricted villager however

- High Restricted Villagers
People who have applied to a restricted character and have proved to be good rpers and dedicated to the shop, along with proper behaviour to deal with situations
Their job is to supervise the guild and ensure the rp runs smoothly, that no rules are broken and people abuse their position against the Changed or the villagers
Among the restricted list, they control those who have a closer influence to the plot, such as nobles or members of the church. Ocassionally members of the organization, but those are offered by the Gms and aren't open for application

- Restricted Villagers
People who have applied to a restricted character and passed the examination
Their job is to supervise the shop thread and the quester guild, ensuring the rules are followed and helping with the common questions and doubts. Also with the main guild if there's no one else around to help solving the problem
They can control most of the people in the restricted list, having a certain level of influence in the plot depending on the position

- Changed and Villagers
The regular players, either paying or not
They are the base and the purpose of the game, the ones the whole plot circles around and that make this rp a reality. Their job is to have fun, while respecting the rules and others
The villagers can control any non-restricted commoner position, while the Changed can pick any myth or similar creature allowed by the GMs

A reminder, there will be likely situations happening in the future, hopefully more new people asking the bases of the game than people need reporting
Common questions like the number of elements one can have or what type of villager one can chose, they don't need to be sent to the GMs for answer. But if they are questions one isn't sure of the anwser, then the person who asked has to pm it to shop mule
As for reports, those who have the power can issue out a warning, either by leaving a post on the shop thread (if it happened there) or sending out a pm to the person. But only the GMs have the power to ban people and they should be warned in case the situation isn't solved or gets critic

Gallen's Characters

Name: The Ghost

Real Name: Nicholas Steel

Age: 30

Gender: Male

Ocupation: Woodsmen (tracker, hunter, guide, herbalist)

Personality: Nick is very quiet. He usually does what needs to be done and leaves. Actions speak louder then a words seems to be his motto. He does not normally talk to individuals in the town, except those who run the shops or who he sells goods to. Those who have seen him in passing say that his eyes seem soulless or that he seems to be not all there, possessed by some far off force. Those who have tried to speak with him usually come away knowing less about the man then they thought they knew. Yet with such a distant personality, no villager will ever speak poorly of Nick’s understanding of right, wrong, and justice. He is most famous for single-handedly throwing out three drunk travelers a year ago, after they started a brawl with some of the local artisans of the village. Later when the group tried to return to the village to stir up more trouble, two of the three were able to walk away, the third being dragged with two arrows sticking out of his knees. Overall with the reputation of a "ghost" Nick is regarded by the village as a mixed blessing. Even if the village suspects and fears him, they are grateful that he is there to watch the forest boarder of there town.

History: A mysterious young woodsmen, living in an old cottage on the outskirts of the forest. Though his name is Nicholas, people of the village only know him as "The Ghost". He is a quiet man, who ventures into the village every now and then. Usually to gather supplies or sell animal pelts. Little is known of him, but the villagers are suspicious of him. Rumor says that he mysteriously appeared in the old cottage on the outskirts of the forest one night when a nasty storm blew through. Others fear that he is a sprite of the forest, or a ghost of the cottage. While others claim that they have seen him speaking to shadows in the forest. One thing is cretin, no one dares venture near his home and those who have are plagued by nightmares for a week.

Name: Bones, Mr. Bones, uncle Bones

Real Name: Samuel Boones

Age: 58

Gender: male

Occupation: Storyteller and Rumour Seller

Appearance: being nearly 60 years old, age has left quite a few marks, but mostly superficial. Despite his greying hair and the wrinkles, he's still very active and full of energy, though it usually only shows through the entusiasm of telling his stories and the sparkle on his blue-grey eyes
He usually wers the same attire all the time, the brown and green clothes and his red hat. The only thing that often changes are the feathers he uses to addorn his hat. He has quite a good collection of them, mostly from woodland or game birds. The more rare ones he only uses on special occasions

Personality: through the years he has calmed down a lot, but he still has the same energic curiosity from his earlier days. Since young he always loved meeting new people, hear their stories and share his collection with others. Because of that he's quite open to new ideas and new perspectives, but that doesn't mean he's going to give up on his own beliefs. He's just flexible enough to take several different views at the same time
Though he loves to say his job is lying for a living, he's not really a liar. His job is to tell stories and that's a different matter. As for rumours, he simply gathers what he hears and tells the most likely ones for those who want to hear. The reputation he gained for his accuracy is only the result from his long experience from dealing with all types of people and knowing how to filter the useful information form the little pieces he hears here and there. Unlike others he doesn't believe in making up rumours just to gain some coins
His love for telling tales doesn't suit everyone though. Some people dislike him because of that, others because they can't stand his habit of nagging people to pay him a drink in exchange for a story or two. He can be a bit annoying sometimes, but he has good intentions
Another thing about him that sometimes offends people is the fact he's so neutral. He doesn't like to take sides, but because he's so impartial with the rumours he sells, some think he's just doing on purpose against them. But from his point of view he's just selling what he heard, not what he made up, so it's not his fault if the said rumour goes against that person

Likes: listen to new stories, meeting new people, telling his tales over a good drink, feathers...

Dislikes: being called by his real name, liars, disrespect...

Story:
Samuel was born in Hollowberry, 4th of 9 children, son of one of the many farmers and sheepherders in that town. He was considered the most adventurous and troublemaker of his family, often causing trouble instead of doing his chores
Since he had no interest in the farm like his siblings, his father put him to work under one of merchants he knew, in hope his son would stop fooling around and take things more seriously. But instead of settling down, this only opened new possibilities to his adventurous tendencies
He was everywhere, from the darkest street to the highest hills, making connections with all types of people. If it wasn't for his good social skills attracting new business, the merchant would likely have sent him back to the farm long ago
Some time later he found himself traveling to other towns and discovering all types of people, places and experiences. He was falling more and more in love with travels and all tpes of possibilities it brought
One day he met an explorer, who wanted to sell a rare article to the merchant, and told stories about the adventures he'd been through. In the end Samuel quited his job and went to work with an explorer the merchant knew and he had met in the past
The next few years he roamed around the less inhabited areas of the kingdom, meeting new people and learning new things. He never found any of the hidden treasures himself, but he saw his share of rare items during his travels
More than once he thought about settling down and raising a family, but he never managed to create roots until his age caught up with him. He decided to stay in Loghedge, one of the good spots to collect new stories brought by the travelers that lived even further into the wild borders of the kingdom
Taking advantage of his wide collection of stories and experiences, he started working at several taverns and pubs as a storyteller, bringing new clients eager to listen to a good tale and getting payed with a free meal and occasional coins. Also he gained reputation of being a reliable source of information, to the point of starting to sell the rumours he picked wherever he went

Name: Old Gerta, Elkweed Witch

Real Name: Gerta Elkweed

Age: 53

Gender: female

Occupation: former Seamstress, Cunning Woman (aka Witch)

Family: Iris (cat), Adam (wolfhound), Ivy (goat)

Appearance: age has not been kind on Greta, as she suffers from cataracts on both eyes and a mild case of rheumatism that acts up when it's about to rain. Her hair still has most of its caramel color of her youth but she carries many wrinkles earned by the hardship of her life, making her look somewhat older than she truly is. Her clothing is as worn out as her appearance, used and reused so many times it's hard to tell the original color

Personality: ever since she was kicked out of Loghedge, Greta never managed to completely trust people. It takes a long time to earn her trust, but despite that she always offers her services in exchange for some food, clothing or other services that help her survive. But to those she trusts or has a liking, she will offer valuable advice and sometimes a meager meal
Although she's nearly blind and has a calm demeanor, one should not mistaken her for an easy target. She survived the harshness of Ironwood and has a hidden strength under her old and seemingly peaceful attitude. If given the chance she is quite capable of giving a wolf second thoughts, cursing loudly and waving her heavy cane like a weapon. She is the Elkweed Witch and she won't be taken for a helpless fool

Likes: her animals, a warm fire, sunny days, freshly baked bread...

Dislikes: food stealing animals, preconceived idiots, the Church, rainy and cold weather...

Story:
Born and raised in Loghedge, Greta was the youngest of 5 daughters and 2 boys. Although something completely outside of her control, this was her first step for being considered a witch, since it was a well known "fact" the 7th child having always a strong affinity to magic
Her parents weren't wealthy, so both of them worked to sustain their family, her father as blacksmith and her mother as seamstress, leaving their children under the care of their elderly grandmother until they were old enough to help with the chores. Greta had always been quiet as a child and she had a profound amazement of all the stories her grandmother told her
It was this woman who carved Greta's path as a cunning woman, or at least provided her the knowledge to practice magic outside of the canons of the Church. It was a tradition passed down from mother to daughter through lore, but in her case refined by her grandmother because she was the 7th
This tradition existed in many families and were not something grave enough to report to the Church, since small household magic was hardly recognized as such. But what caused her to be pointed out as a witch and an heretic was the bad intentions from another woman
She was 15 when a local baker asked her parents her hand in marriage, but a close friend of her had fallen in love with that man and decided to do everything to claim him as hers. Knowing of Greta's birth position, she used that to accuse her of heresy for practicing illegal magic. It didn't took long until the Church found the herbs and small talismans her family used and expelled her out of Loghedge
Without means of travel, she was forced to take refuge in one of the abandoned huts in Ironwood, where she still lives today. The first few years were the hardest, as she tried to fend for herself against the dangers of the forest, but the little help her family and their connections could provide helped her survive. Still the poor conditions had an effect on heal, or so she believes, as the cataracts slowly started to steal her from her eyesight in later years
Also as the years passed she put her knowledge to good use and became known as the Elkweed Witch. Occasionally villagers come buy and bring her food and clothes in return of her services in guessing the future, prepare talismans or cures, when the Church can no longer provide answers or becomes too costly for them. And because of the connection she established with the local wildlife, the hunters who intent to look for game in her area often ask her permission, to avoid a curse to fall on their heads

Mule: MaskedCricket

Name: Cricket

Real Name: Naiya Namiste (Naiya means: The Dreamer)

Gender: Female

Age: 20

Creature: Lionhound

Category: Animalistic

Alignment: Chaos, Space, Shadow

Appearance: Wears a mask reminiscent of a sheep’s face, it’s fur extending down her neck. Ears are tattered, scarring can be seen extending from underneath her mask and various parts of her body. Long hackles of fur extend from the top and under her neck to the end of her ribcage as well as the back of her triceps along most of the length of her forearms. Her body is long, lanky legs and slender tail, over all canid in appearance and is around the size of an Irish wolfhound. A dewclaw on each forepaw allowing limited use, tipped with a rather sharp and long claw at the end. Fur is a rusted/earth-toned brindle pattern; mane is a dark brown coloration. When she opens her mouth, her lips covering her teeth on the right side are missing with scars in the shape of splash marks.

Personality: Greatly depends on whether she’s wearing her mask or not. With the mask on she, very shy, curious and rarely speaks unless she finds good reason for doing so. Most often she hides and observes before meeting a new person, and even then she rarely speaks with someone she may know very well, preferring to resort to soft vocalizations to help express herself or get someone’s attention. The few people she does consider as a friend, she becomes very loyal with, bringing them things she’s collected or made. The only time she shows signs of aggression with her mask is if someone tries to touch/tamper with it, anything to do with her face or scars.

When the mask is removed her temperament drastically changes and it quickly becomes very difficult to reason with her. Most often she’ll attack the closest living thing, as it’s most likely what’s the cause of her mask being taken off. Usually the best cause of action is giving it back, cover her eyes/subdue her or running very VERY quickly to find an escape route, even those she considers friends aren’t spared from at the very least being snapped at.

Likes: Collecting trinkets/junk, crafting things, hiding/going unnoticed, bunnies, her mask, animals, exploring, trying to help to those she knows

Dislikes: Speaking, being seen, having her mask touched; removed or inquired about, her reflection; mirrors and reflective surfaces in general.

Story: Naiya was gifted at birth with beauty, from her soft jet-black hair to her dainty white feet. However it proved to be more of a curse as most of the time she was shunned by other girls due to an intense jealousy towards her. Courting suitors were overbearing, more often than not breaking out into fights with others for her hand in marriage, which never ended well. The only solitude she could find was in the woods with the more friendly wildlife whose views towards her looks were much less biased.
After she began to change when pulled to the other world it took little time for people to notice that she began to cover herself more with clothing that hid much of her skin, adorning herself with a hooded cloak even on days of warm weather until one day she seemed to disappear entirely. Only her parents and many suitors seemed to attempt to search for her, any of which was in vain.
A few years later a masked hound is sometimes glimpsed upon in the woods. Any traces of footprints which verifies her existence will disappear and sometimes re-appear a couple hundred of feet later only to stop abruptly with no way of following them any further into the woods. Any attempt to follow her usually causes the pursuer to fall into misfortune and has been considered as both bad and good omens since her presence will sometimes result in a sick loved one’s fever breaking or missing children finding their way back home after following Cricket, only seeing her with fleeting glances. Holes in hollowed trees have sometimes been found stuffed with valuables, pretty stones oddly stacked in piles or columns near the side of a road, even clay pottery with unusual, sometimes crude imagery carved into the surface.
She came to be known as Cricket from others, as she always spoke so rarely that all you would hear was the sound of crickets in the forest surrounding her.
