We don't wanna start a witch hunt, but if you come across a mod poser or scammer, please post the username in here. Put your ideas and tips for making yourself safe. We don't want anyone we know falling for their lies and loosing all your hard earned stuffs! We recently discovered as well that the mods do little to get back accounts and other things stolen by hackers, so it's important just to avoid the situation altogether.

Ways to Spot a Hacker
1) They usually use mule accounts with very little or no items and effort made into them.
2) They usually keep comment features off their profiles if they even have a real one at all. They don't want people leaving "you scammed me!" on there.
3)They usually, not always, have rather poor grammer lol.
4) They will often try to blame you as being a hacker if you refuse a proposal given by them.
5) They will ask your password. That is the only thing they can use to get your stuff from you.

Ways to Avoid Scammers/Mod-posers/Hackers
1) make yourself an uber encoded password. A really long made up word like "Zensekai" for example would probably never be guessed. (if it wasn't my user name I guess...) things like your name, or pet names are sometimes easy to guess like " Brittney16." Use caps, numbers, and or symbols in it. That ups the possible permutations of your password far far higher, it'll keep em' guessing forever. ex: Zensekai4Aetra21^^ Imagine trying to guess that if you didn't know me, or could read all my rps lol.
2)NEVER use the same email to talk to people on gaia that is used under your account. unlike asking your pw, your email may or may not be a devious intent when asked by someone. They might just truthfully wanna be your friend or tell you something you don't want seen on gaia, like their instant messager name or something, and they might just trick you for the email.... just use a mule email for your gaia account if you can.
3) If you know someone who's been victem to hacking or scamming, hide your friend list for a bit and get them to do the same-- if they still have their account. You don't want them looking through your friend list, especially if they try to pose as the person's who's account they stole. They can target someone you know. Don't be overly paranoid about it though, only worry if someone you know's had a hacker on them.
4) Becareful in the market As said by Zipora, the scammers swarm up after you when you have a moderately to expensive item up on the market. I've had morons say they'd trade me letters or whatver in exchange formy blue giftbox, brown giftbox, donation item, etc. Alot of times they trade you a wrapped up item, dudes that's not an expensive item. It's started clothes or something like that, don't fall for that. Look at item prices for the stores if they go "I"ll trade you ____ worth 20k on the market!" If only one item like that is up, and it's says "buy for 20k" chances are it's a mule account of theirs, and that the store price is like 200-500 gold... Just be wary when you sell something, if someone offers you a deal that's too good to be true, usually it is lol.

Tip: Don't go posting stuff like I have _______ (something rare like a kiki kitty) and showing stuff like that off it just makes you a bigger target for hackers. I'm not saying don't wear one if you have it but try to keep your outfit cheap looking not Newb cheap but something that wouldn't let them know you have a lot of valuable stuff.
Oh and Don't Share accounts with people it ussualy leads to tragedy

Ok, I have a few more names to add to your list
[A d m]Report banned
Information - Account
Yami_Yugi1 Cheat Correction System
Mod Account Investigator
These are some of the mod posers who have come after me. Be wary; they come after people when you have something good in the market half the time, so especially keep an eye out then.

I just don't really see why people would want to hack accounts here though its pretty pointless I mean how desperate or lame do you have to be to steal someones account for an item you want that you can't even use in rl or anything....

Another thing is don't fall for these stupid little things that you get from random people in your PMs, like "I'm getting rid of my NeoPets account, would you like it?"
Sounds like a scam to me. Be wary, folks.
