Now, I've always been accepting of geometry. I can mess with funny-shaped figures as well as the next kid but...
Polyhedrons suck. As in the enemies you find in the Shrine of Kaddan the second run through. Those rolly-polly, white, blue,and yellow little demonspawn that just bounce around like hackey-sacks from hell.
Why? They are insanely fast, faster than almost all other enemies in the game. To boot, they have no flinchtime when you hit them. Third, they come in packs of three or more and instantly gang up on poor Fayt (I play as Albel most of the time) when he tries to heal and kill him in two seconds flat.
I have two strategies to beat them. 1) stunlock... but another blasted thing always flanks Cliff while he does the deed and runs him over like a raccoon on the freeway. 2) Anti-attack aura... but it always manages to smash it instead of running headlong into it like a good little child of Pythagoras. I use more fresh sage and aneleptics (1-2 fresh sage average, 1 aneleptic if they kill Fayt early) on Polyhedron encounters than I do on the boss battles!
I bring this up because today I screamed " scream FREAKING POLYHEDRONS!!! scream " right after breakfast when I started playing again (broke my shiny battle gauge, the dogs!) and my mom thought I was being weird for cursing out a geometrical figure.
SO... DISCUSS:
What (non-boss) enemy is the bane of your existance? What's your favorite strategy to beat the buggers? What have you done over a frustrating battle? Do you like geometry?

I've never fought a polyhedron ever.
The thing about that is that I KNEW they would be difficult to fight.
xD;
So I can't say much. I always run or avoid them at all costs. ):

Sooties!! No matter what I do, they either kill me, or blow themselves up because they're wussies and don't want to die! I FREAKIN' HATE THEM!!! Next would probably be the giant battlecopters, those lil demonic imps with pitchforks. I swear, in 4D mode, they run like they're on crack!!!

I can't avoid anything. I have to kill everything. This isn't good when I'm near death. Usually I suck it up and run away. The only time I avoided stuff was in Luther's House of Crazy because I wanted to get the game over with.
And I like geometry. I only realized this when I was in calculus because geometry I could understand and calculus was my nemesis.

Polyhedrons. I mean...I know I hate math, and it hates me...but now I have proof in SO3. Aside from those, I just hate "proclaimers".

Allistor_TLS Polyhedrons. I mean...I know I hate math, and it hates me...but now I have proof in SO3. Aside from those, I just hate "proclaimers". Indeed. I dislike Proclaimers, too. Their strong attack hits almost everything around, and when they come in packs of 2 they support one another so that you cannot stunlock, use Anti-attack aura, or even open up some distance. Ugh. The Enforcers are much easier; they deal less damage, their attacks are stoppable, and they usually only appear alone. Even the Convictors are easier. I can beat a Convictor without trouble, but unless the proclaimer appears by itself so I can beat it down 3 to 1, the stupid angels are big trouble. Makes me wonder: The Enforcers can incinerate the Aquaelie without trouble. How come they can't incinerate the party, too? *shrug* We're tougher than a battleship? confused

And stuff. Maybe Maria's presence alters the attacks and armor of the exceutioners into mush? Whatever. Still hate the Polyhedrons. And ANYTHING that freezes me. "DAMNIT! I HAD FULL HEALTH, TOO!" scream
