I'm not really picky with music either. It's just, if all the band's songs sound exactly the same or I can't stand the lead singer's voice, then I dislike the band. It also depends on the mood I'm in.

I hate avril lavigne cause she thinks she's hardcore.

i don't like some of the very very pop bands that you hear on the radion all the time. they get popular for wearing almost no clothes at all and all their music is the same 3nodding

Huh. Y'know, I have to say that the acts that I truly don't care for, I... forget. xd

Eh, a lot of the common top forty stuff irritates me, in general. Once in awhile, the song's alright, but it's played every hour on the hour, and just gets worn out. Usually, though, the songs that the corporate stations spin are really just recycled tripe. Same chords, same progressions... no creativity. It all starts to sound the same.

And it galls me to know that the musicians don't see much of the profit from the hype. The lion's share of CD sales, licensing, and even touring goes to the label.

So... well, ultimately it's not bands or songs I dislike so much as the corporatization of the industry. Just about everything that most people 'like' was pushed on them by either Clear Channel or Infinity. And that's just sad.
