That being said, I actually prefer NaruSasu. Go figure.
Anyways, I'm actually curious as to how people got into this pairing- I, before even watching the series, kept finding all this SasuNaru fanart allll over the place.
Now. I'm going to stun you all.
When I first started watching the series, I ended up liking NaruHina first.
And then I hit the Valley of the End. And it was just sooooo... saaaad. You can very clearly see that they're friggin in love with each other and they don't know it. They have no idea what they're feeling for each other. So we have two confused boys, barely into their teens, and they love each other and they can't figure that out.
Why? Because they're idiots.
Well, that's how I got into SasuNaru, and then I read some of Asuka Kureru's (askerian on dA) fanfiction, and she writes NaruSasu... and it just seemed so right. (I recomend her stuff. It's awesome. Especially if you like Sakura, and don't mind NaruSasuSaku)
So how did you get into this pairing? Why do you continue to support it? Debate is welcome, and any reason is okay.

I really don't remember when I fell in love with the pairing.
I know my friend ((*cough*Breastsroker*cough*)) started watching it on youtube and would have me watch bits and pieces of it now and then when I came over or Talk to me about it but I was never really into it... although I do remember stating that they looked cute together, and squeeled at the kiss.... that might have been what did it for me.
Anywho she finally got me to watch it and I was hooked... but not into SasuNaru yet.. first I went through the SasuSaku and NaruSaku fandom, but they never really stick as much and I keep liking one better week from week...
Then I think that was when I started into the fanfics... and fanart and feel in love with SasuNaru... but like I said I am not sure when it happened... for all I know I could have always liked this pairing and never known it. LOL.
On a side note... I have officially been a Naruto fan for a year. YAY!!!!!

I got into Naruto through curiosity--I picked up a ShonenJump at Publix one day and started reading. That particular issue was during the Haku-Zabuza conflict, and it was right after Sasuke had gotten "killed" for Naruto's sake. I cried during that chapter, and for the rest of the arc... and got hooked.
Naturally I began searching for downloadable earlier chapters and FanFiction for Naruto fics. At this point I found an obscure SasuNaru fic... the writing was mediocre at best, and I hadn't gotten far enough to know brother Itachi's character... but the pairing stuck with me. I liked Naruto's dogged persistence and immature-mature personality... and Sasuke wasn't hard on the eyes with his dark serious looks and well-hidden soft spot for his teammates (esp. Naruto ^^).
I found better fics, read further into the series and got to know more of the characters... and more and more it became apparent to me that Naruto and Sasuke had more emotionally invested in each other than with most all of their peers. They just seemed to fit together, both with each other and against each other. From there on it became OTP, and the rest is history. ^_^

Well before I'd even started watching/reading Naruto I came across Kaze-Hime on deviantART, hehe. So that's what first got me interested in the pairing because it seemed like it had a pretty big fan base. Anyways, a little while later I started watching the anime. When I got up to Sasuke's 'death' I was like "OMG! It's true!" XD and then especially later on in the Valley of the End. I was hooked.

i wasn't really into naruto (the manga) when i read the first book, but then my friend (kimyo ryu) made me read sasunaru/ narusasu, and i didn't like it a first, but then i got into it, and got obsessed. i like them cause there so Opposites that it almost makes ya think anybody can get together.

Ehh, I used to think Yaoi was disgusting. Then I had that curiosity thing going on and I wondered what all the hype was. Then thanks to the manga, fanfiction, and fanart I am a fangirl now

I was writing a perverted SasuNaru fic, and all of a sudden, I thought "hey, this is cute!"
It was all downhill from there
None of my friends liked it (even those who read stuff like Gravitation and Furuba...)

Hmm...I started out with a NaruHina and found it cute. Then looked for SasuSakus when I stumbled upon fanfiction.net. I'm browsing and get addicted to SasuSakus. When I searched for them, I would only filter Sasuke and I kept seeing SasuNaru. So on a whim just to experience yaoi, I read Kativa-chan's Surprise! Since it was a sequel, I read the first part, Tresure Hunt, and the clues made pefect sense as to why Sasuke and Naruto should be together and that they were in love with each other. So I've been addicted since Dec/Jan?
Oh. I'm a SasuNaru fan. I just don't see Sasuke being dominated. I mean, would Sasuke really let Naruto take him? I don't think so. Now Naruto...he's the perfect uke smile

My sister. I saw a badge for sale at an anime convention, and asked her what one word on the badge meant: "Yaoi". She explained it. I was disgusted ('cause I was a stupid homophobic NEWB). Later, I looked it up. I've liked it ever since. sweatdrop Not much of a story, huh?
