If you have an opinion about the political issues that face Minnesota, the officials and candidates, or you have ideas about how to make this state better than it already is (and believe me there are a lot of things that can be done) post it here.
Rules:
No debate on global or national politics unless it specifically affects Minnesotans directly (ex. Building a fence along the Canadian border)
No comments on the current primary candidates unless you include a quote from them that specifically mentions Minnesota.
No anti-Bush propaganda unless you have legitimate sources to back your statements and it specifically addresses Minnesotan interests. (This includes anti-war talk)
No anti-Congress propaganda unless you have legitimate sources to back your statements and it specifically addresses Minnesotan interests. (Minnesota Congressmen and Congresswomen are exempted from this rule)
No attacking individuals who post unless you have legitimate sources to back your statements, are polite, and respect the rights of others to have differing opinions.

I'll get this going by saying that taxes in MN are too high. Recently the legislature (which was given to the Dems in the last election) voted to raise taxes to make MN one of the highest taxed states in the country. They take this money and invest it in some of the most liberal programs ever. I don't know how many of you lived through the Profiles of Learning, but that was liberal propaganda up the a**.
so I guess the question is: Are taxes too high?
