The journey begins...
With their kind on the brink of extinction, animal kin have been forced out of the forests, mountains, rivers and the very sky itself to seek refuge within the human world with the hope that they may yet be saved. With the promise of medicines and cures for the plagues that were killing them off so slowly, the animal kin agreed to go into the service of the humans, doing whatever work they wish of them from hunting to hard labor that their human 'owners' feel would be better done with the strength of their race. However, as much as the animal kin don't want to believe it, the humans that they serve so faithful without complaint to their poor treatment, have no intention of helping them with the cure they so desperately need to save their kind, for if they did, they would loose their only source of free labor.
Few humans actually feel pity for the creatures under their service and even less feel remorse for their actions in aiding the extinction of their race. Though the few that do, have helped them to learn about the legend of Valhalla, the lost city of Auberdine which seems to be their only chance to survive. This city of never ending night has been said to have crystal clear waters of a healing nature with soil still untouched by the ravages of the human race. Knowing this as their only hope, most only dream of the day their people can set foot on this most sacred of lands. However, the race is on and the animal kin know they must find the lost city before the humans manage to do the same, or else all hope is lost for their future.
With the need for survive weighing heavily on their minds, the animal kin have started to come together on their quest for Valhalla...
