So to be perfectly honest it's been awhile since I have seen or posted a new thread. Not just any thread though one which was not only some thing we could all enjoy and discus but some thing we could also manage to not fight over like bickering children. Also I figured this would be good practice for some of our friends that enjoy making one sentence post. So with out further adieu or elevn arrogance which i display so well I present the matter at hand.
So I'm currently reading the best of Elaine Cunningham aka best of the realms III. When the thought hit me that there are a lot of great teams out there that a great many of us are fans of. i thought it would be cool to see who favors what group and why.
So my Friends Foe's and fellow guild mates lets discus What is your favorite team and why?

Hey Leto. It has been awhile, hasn't it.
I've always liked Drizzt and the gang, sorry to say. It was always my favorite parts in the book when they were all fighting or out on some adventure together.

Thats perfectly understandable I will always hold a soft spot in my heart for Drizzit and the gang. They taught me things about battle and war tactics that i had never imagined showed me what quality members of a true team where capable of. But my favorite pick has to be the Drow team from war of the spider queen because they thought me about the unity of opposites, while also giving me a very deep appreciation about things we often take for granted when working with some one we can trust. Lastly some times it just feels good to be bad and they did that very well on top of it the where intelligent skilled resourceful and driven all the things I love about the Drow.

Shouldn't Ivan and Pikel been put into a bigger group of Cadderly's team? therefor including him and Danica? confused
and what about the Seven Sisters? Would they be concitered a team? I'm not sure how ofthen they acually work togeather on things <.<

Normally I would agree with you but ever since the fellas have begun to branch out since they headed out for mithril hall working with various different groups. I also think of each pair as special in there own right.

lol i just found this thread and i think liriel and fyodor are my favorite. theres just something about them that makes me want to read more about them... but i would have voted for the seven sisters but it wasnt up there stressed but it would be more of a chosen of mystra team then just the seven sisters seeing as they work with elminister and khelben more than with theselves

My favorite team in the realms is one of three that tie. Two of which happen to be Salvatore's creation. First is the characters from the Cleric Quintet, including the Bouldershoulder brothers. The second is the group from the Legend of Drizzt. Finally, the third team is the team from the Lady Penitent series, a follow up to the War of the Spider Qeen. (I can't wait for the second book in the series to come out next month.)

Unfortunately, I only know about the Drizzt gang, since I've only ever read the books with them in it, other than The Crystal Shard. I think that it is a huge contest between the Drizzt group vs. Jarlaxle/Artemis Entrerie.

I absolutely LOVE the crew in War of the Spider Queen, seems to me that were it not for the infighting, the group could have taken anything they wanted by force. Valas Hune is ready for anything with his pin-covered vest. Ryld Argith has what i believe to be the most useful weapon ever- an Anti-magic sword (don't know what material it's made of, but if it's adamantite or something else really hard and heavy, it's unstoppable). Pharaun is ambitious enough to overthrow Gromph (has almost enough power to do it...SPOILER--> before he dies <---The girls are all accomplished clerics of Lloth in their own right. And they have a half-demon, what else could you want? i believe that them vs. the Drizzt gang would end up a draw (if drizzt's gang had robillard and harkle with them.)

That was very well said but you know what honestly I don't want to even think about that fight because I cant pick a side. Honestly a lot of people would end up dead on both sides if it came down to it.

Honestly a lot of people would end up dead on both sides if it came down to it. near everyone would die, i agree, but i would give my right arm for the writers of both the drizzt crew and the drow group to write a non-canon fight. Jeggred Baenre vs. Guen would be beautiful also, ryld vs. wulfgar...wild because when aegis fang comes up against the anti-magic greatsword it loses its magic, but it's still made of high-quality materials so it's a great match...

Three clerics but cattiebires bow it's just a crazy match to even think of. Above ground fight or underdark are we counting regis is valas hune with the group wait not even just three clerics pharaun.

ok, how about Quenthel's full group (of 7 including Valas)
vs. Drizzt's full group + Thibbledorf to even the numbers
on Drizzt's home field advantage (Mithril Hall) but with no time to prepare the mines for an attack?
