Unlikely Love
Introduction For decades, centuries even, man has known of the existence of demons and vampires and other undesirable creatures that destroy mortal life. As sure as they have existed, Hunters skilled in the different arts have been there to destroy these creatures and put an end to their habits. Some Hunters have successfully killed off these creatures, but like everything good, there has to be bad. Hunters themselves have perished because the creature was just too strong. This keeps everything in balance.
But times are changing...
What happens when these creatures, shunned by all, and their Hunters, loved by all, fall in love? Such is the case of this RP. The Hunters and the ones they prey on have been falling in love. Many mortals pose the question: Is this good, or will the world still fall to the creatures they so badly want destroyed. Only time will tell.

Rules Like all good RPs, there are rules. I expect everyone to read them in full, if you do not, I will not accept you. I'm cracking down a lot, now, here they are.
1. I am the one who created this thread, and I expect you to follow the rules.
2. You must read the posts before your own. Don't just skim.
3. Don't Godmod or powerplay... If you don't know what those are, you shouldn't be in this rp.
4. No premaid crushes or Mary-Sues- Love is earned, not given out right away.
5. Stay on the plot.
6. Don't try to keep the spot light on you. It's shared, and you’re not the main character.
7. Don't jump in randomly- Wait for a good time, so you don't ruin the beat of the RP.
8. Submit Bios to icey_paradise. If you're not approved, you’re not approved.
9. Follow Gaia TOS, meaning keep the thread PG-13 or UNDER
10. Give an RP sample of 3-5 lines, and each post has to be at least four lines.
11. Use only one post to state everything you wish to say and wait for others to have a say.
12. If you are a Hunter, you cannot, and I repeat: CANNOT know that the species you hunt is around.
13. When speaking, use quotation marks. I will have a thread for OOC, but if you have to leave or w/e, use [OOC] or ((OOC)). For thinking, use italics.
14. You must be on frequently in order to join. I can understand if you have something to do at times, but be around enough, or I will remove your character.
15. You MUST, and again, I repeat: MUST PM me your profiles… if you do not, I will not accept you.
16. Do not start the RP until I give it the go-ahead.
17. Post ‘purple rain monkeys’ somewhere in your PM to me so that I know you’ve read everything, not just the rules.
18. Check the updates frequently, I’m sure that I’ll be adding things to them.
19. Wait until I accept you to do anything. I will tell you, don't worry.
20. I have the right to add rules as I see fit.
21. Last, but not least, have fun, and be nice to everyone else, this is here to have a good time, and increase your RPing skills.
Sorry to have so many rules, but I’m tired of having people not follow them, and ruin something that is good.

Accepted Characters- Undesirables Played by: Icey_paradise Name: Benjamin Michael Barlow
Age: Looks to be about 17, but is really over 100 years old.
Gender: Male
Appearance: Ben is a tall, lanky sort with blonde hair and dark-blue eyes. His hair is shoulder length, and gets pulled back from time-to-time to keep it out of his way when he is out and about. His dress consists of the usual jeans and a t-shirt combo, and a baggy sweatshirt during the cooler times of the year. When he isn't wearing a sweatshirt, he is wearing a long trench coat.
Personality: Not too outgoing, and not too shy, his friends were his means of support and laughs. He liked to go out with them and have some good times, he hated it when something bad happened to one of them. He's usually nice and carefree, but there are times that he gets 'cranky' as some might put it and might have a complete change in personality... like being bipolar. However, after a little while, he's back to his 'normal' self, sarcastic personality and all.
History/background: Benjamin has lived in this town all his life, and growing up was okay for him. Sure his parents divorced when he was at an early age, but he hardly remembers it, and thought of his step-family as his true family. He's had some rough times like every person, but has taken the bad with the good, and in time has almost forgotten about the bad. On the night of his birthday, a vampire changed him, sending him into the eternal realm of darkness. Now he works under the infamous Dante Demonyouth as his assassin.
Species: Vampire
Powers: Benjamin can withstand the light of day. Something most vampires are jealous of. (He doesn't really have too many powers, if something comes up, it'll get added.)
Weaknesses: He can not stand holiness, anything of the sort sends him away. If he gets touched by anything silver, he will be welted and what-not, 'causing him to become weak for a long amount of time. Prolonged exposure can kill him.Played by: Scorp985
Name: Dante Daemonyouth
Age: 253 (appears 21)
Gender: Male
Appearance: Dante has the appearance of a scraggly, rough gangster type-of-fellow. With short brown hair and a red bandana that is always pulled up over his nose, he has a very intimidating appearance. Generally favoring tan leather clothing for his raids, and always having a katana at his side, the ladies adore him... most, anyway. His strange orange eyes are said to bring death to anyone who looks directly into them.
Personality: Very casual and laid-back, Daemonyouth is somewhat naive when it comes to defeating his enemies. He's a charmer when it comes to women, but generally very disrespectful towards other males, many only describe him as 'bad-a**'.
History/background: Growing up in one of the many 'ghettos' of Chicago, his past isn't pleasant... He's never talks about it, and no one would think of asking... he'd stab them. It's evident he wasn't raised properly, due to his extreme lack of manners and merciless behavior.
Species: Vampire
Powers: What's a leader of a notorious gang without his powers? Dante has an arsenal up his sleeve... wristblades, katanas, mysterious Black Magic, rifles, and even a baseball bat for his more belligerent jobs. You'd be a fool not to run away at first sight... a really strong fool.
Weaknesses: Daylight, of course, causes great harm to his skin, as does silver. However, strangely enough for a gangleader, holy things have no effect on him. Many vampire hunters have fallen due to this sorrowful fact, attempting to sustain him with blessed water, only to have their heads brutally smashed in with a baseball bat. Played by: Kumo Atsureki
Name: Yuriko Miyuki
Age:112 (Appears 23)
Gender:Female
Appearance: Yuriko has long dark brown hair that flows down around her voluptuous body and wraps around her waist. Her hair is not layered, but perfectly even. She has Bangs that come down to the top of her eyebrows, they are also perfectly even. She has dark emerald eye's that could melt a hole in your heart. She wears a long flowing dress, that seems very unusual for the times, but she likes the way it looks so she wears it anyway. It's a sleeveless dress that comes to form an upside down V by her neck and connect to a chain-like neckless that circles her neck. The top fabric of her dress is white and it connects to a crimson red skirt. She has two flowing red, I guess you could call them; unattached sleeves that flow down to her hands. She also wears a pair of red leather gloves. Everything that she wears is fitted to fit perfectly around her small frame. She has small fangs that can barely be noticed unless you were standing right beside her.
Personality: She is a very laid back go-with-the-flow type of woman. She is the perfect person to go to for advice. Though, not very many people know much about her. She likes to keep her personal business personal. She doesn't like to resort to violence, but when needed to, don't think she won't fight back. Also, she hates vampire jokes.
History/background: Yuriki's parents where murdered when she was at a very young age. Her parents murder's captured her and kept her hostage until she finally escaped. During her capture she was beaten, raped, and forced to bend to their will. Her captures called her their, 'Dirty little secret.' She escaped when she was about 17 and had a hard time starting out in life. She was finally turned into a vampire when she was 23.
Species: Vampire
Powers: She can 'dazzle' just about anyone to get what she wants from them. She basically bewitches them to do her bidding. She can run at superhuman speeds, jump higher than the average human, and can survive more damage done physically to her body than the average person, but that's basically a given.
Weaknesses: A male touching her even in the slightest bit will cause her to fall to her knees in fear, due to her bad experiences. She would go into hysterics. Also the usual vampire flaws, such as a wooden stake to the heart, sunlight. But holy items don't affect her.(You know; crosses, holy water...ect.) She thinks this is because she is an atheist.

Name: Mordalin Bloodwaker
Age: 25
Gender: Male
Appearance: Mordalin is always covered in clothing, it seems, because of his severe intolerance to sunlight. Normally dressed in black trenchcoats and black leather jackets, this half-vampire carries several weapons, normally kept on the inside of his clothing to hide suspicion. He has white hair with a few red streaks through it, and is surprisingly handsome for his occupation.
Personality: Mordalin has a very witty feel to him, making sarcastic remarks and cracking jokes on occassion at other people's errors. He normally doesn't mean them, he's just playing around... but when it comes to battle, he becomes a lot less funny. He respects the creatures he hunts, and uses his knowledge against them. He feels doing things his own way is usually the right way, and traitors or liars are just scum to him. Careful... his trigger-finger is itchy.
History/background: His brother was bitten by a vampire at an early age and suffered the consequences, as well. The same brother proved to be physically weak, as he bit his father. His mother still treated the two the same as she always had, but tried to conceal their identities. Later on, Mordalin was born; a half-human, half-vampire, one of the first of his breed. His vampiric powers didn't develop until he was five, at which time he almost seemed to scorn himself. He was hidden from close friends all his life for fear of them discovering his dark secret, and ran away when he was sixteen, vowing to slay every of those vampires who ruined his life in the first place. Now, he has an established reputation as one of the most brilliant vampire hunters around. What he hides, however, is that he is still a half-vampire. A priest cursed him for his ways, and now he walks the streets as almost a full vampire, still following his lone cause.
Species they hunt: Vampires
Weapons: Mordalin bears a magnum revolver loaded with silver bullets, a weapon used to easily slay his opponents. His other weapon, a silver short-sword, is deadly as well... but he needs to be careful not to cut himself...
Weaknesses: Because of his dark past, Mordalin has been cursed by a priest. He was given three weaknesses that demons and the like could use against him. Direct sunlight truly burns him, which is one of the reasons he's always covered in clothing. A silver bullet flying into his arm would immediately burn a hole the size of an apple, yet another effect of his curse. And last, but not least, high temperatures... to get him used to the feel of Hell... Played by: Masher101
Name: Caz Bloodhind
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Appearance: Caz Bloodhind is a pretty young hunter, starting at age 15. He stands 5ft 7in, has long, brown hair that goes down to the bottom of his neck, and in the front, goes down to his eyes. His favorite outfit is a red t-shirt (Sweater in the cold seasons) baggy blue jeans, and boots, Usaly brown. But when he's out hunting, he usally wears a thick leather shirt, pants, gloves, and boots. His favorite weapon is a long, b*****d sword made out of a durable silver.
Personality: Caz is a very... talkitive fellow. He's not very shy, but he usaly only has real conversations with people he knows. But, anyway, Caz really likes to fight with his Silver crafted sword that his father made for him, a lot. Somtimes Caz becomes very quiet on certain days... No-one really knows why. But he goes right back to his old self the next day. But these days that he does it are random.
History/background: Caz was born in lands unknown, and he was in this unknown place for 10 years. He enjoyed his old family and home, even though he can't remember it... But 7 years ago, Caz's home was attacked, and everyone, but Caz was killed. No-one knows why he lived. Maybe he was lucky, and found a place to hide? Or maybe somthing else... After that, Caz left there, and set out to find a new home, a place where he could have peace... Three days later, Caz stumbled apon a village. He knew THIS village was his new home... Caz hates it when somone tries to get him to talk about his past... Maybe that's why. But after Caz setteled into the village, He started to train, to become a hunter. With his sword in hand, he made a vow to avenge his parrents...

Weapons: A long b*****d sword made of durable silver.
Weaknesses:Caz doesn't really have any ranged weapons. Due to the heavy leather armor, Caz can't move very fast. And lastly, because Caz lost everything, except the clothes on his back, Caz doesn't have much money.

Name: Suzaku Tatsura (I like to keep it simple.)
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Appearance: Long brown hair with bangs at chin length, and piercing blue/gray eyes. Very pale skin for a human and is 5'6" tall. She wears black worn jeans and a long sleeved shirt thats bright red, her favorite color. She also has a hooded cloak.
Personality: She can seem kind of like she has split personality. If she is friends with you she'll seem warm and friendly. If she isn't friends with you she can seem arrogant and emotionally distant. She has a knack for keeping on track when things are serious.
History/background: She comes from a family of Vampire Hunters, so it isn't so much her choice as her duty. That doesn't mean she won't kill one though, she was raised to think Vampires cold and cruel, and has seen many victims of such Vampires. Suzaku doesn't typically take Vampire attacks personally, since she doesn't like to allow for emotional pain. She has never known any of her friends to be killed by a Vampire, so she doesn't have some vengeance vendetta against them. She has no Vampire friends however, and doesn't plan to make any.
Species they hunt: Vampires
Weapons: A long whip.
Weaknesses: She has certain weaknesses, such as she doesn't have as much blood as a normal person does. If she gets cut or badly bruised, or lord forbid bitten, she would pass out in a matter of minutes. Another weakness is sensitivity to sound, if things get too loud she'll have horrible head pains. One other weakness is if you get her to feel threatened/scared, she panics since she doesn't fully know how to deal with emotions and that makes her vulnerable. Played by: Quintaped
Name: Nino Sina
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Appearance: Nino has clothing containing mostly of a plain, green t-shirt, black, baggy pants with silver chins, and has no shoes on. She has drak brown hair with narrow, royal blue streaks in her hair. Nino will sometimes be wearing a brown leather jacket, depending on the weather. She's 6'3'', from her fathers side.
Personality: Some people think Nino is bipolar, but she just tends to prefer to act that way. She is pretty much heartless towards the creatures she hunts, but she won't turn her back on people who need her. Nino is trustworthy and would never betray her friends, but never get on her bad side. If you are hunted, you're already automatically on her bad side.
History/Backround: Nino wasn't born in a special family or anything, and the family she does belong in is just a bunch of people interested in what Nino never was interested in. She ran away at age 14 and has lived with her aunt. Nino learned what she knew from her aunt, who was a retired hunter, and had been a pupil of her until a year ago. As such, she hasn't had much experience, but she's determined to learn more.
Species they hunt: Nino would like to hunt any creature of the dark, but her main target is vampires.
Weapons: Cat-o-nine-tails and a small dagger with a garnet in the hilt.
Weaknesses: Nino may be mostly a vampire hunter, but the truth is, she is allergic to garlic, meaning it's very hard to destory them that way. Nino also has a small fear of fire, but only if it's out of control.

Black List/Updates Black List: None, and lets keep it this way, shall we?
Updates: Wow, we should like get more people>< after deleting all those that haven't replied and w/e, we only have ONE hunter, and that is Scorp... eek damn, lol... then again, maybe some peeps could double up or somethin... that'd be cool, I know I will.
