Map of whole realm(as asked for by Hikaru):Big map
Map of the Drow City Menzoberranzan(scale is same as big map):Menz. Map
The Underdark: just a bunch of tunnels...

Long ago the Light skined elves and the Dark skined elves lived in harmony. Their relationship was unstable at best and eventuly they broke out to war. The dark skin elves lost because the light skined gained allies, like the dwarves and humans.

Skorned and unwelcome anywhere the survivors moved underground, into the Underdark. There they re grew and evolved into the Drow, evil and back stabing they worship the spider goddess Lolth. They named their underground home the Underdark and formed cities. the tunnels are deadly and dangerous. And as such the Drow have gained the ablity to see in the infrared spectrum so see the threats more clearly.

One Drow named Drizzit Do'Urden dispite all odd was born and kept hold of the goodly values his people once had. Raised by his sister and trained by his father(who also knew of the evil in his people's hearts) in the way of the sword he kept his inoccence and was able to esscape to the surface world. There he made a name for himself as a good Drow.

Now many more Drow are comeing into the light, relizing that their former Goddess is evil. But most still cling to the evil ways. Will the good Drow be accepted into the surface world? And more importantly will they be able to escape the Underdark at all?

The mark had no idea. The blade cut through his heart like it was tissue paper, killing the poor fool instently.

The Drow assasin smiled with satisfaction as his kin fell to the floor dead and bleeding. The mark had been a wizard in some low ranking family.

"Well, I'm sorry brother but your death means I get to eat tonight," the young dark elf said as he pulled up the hood on his cloak and walked away. No one would know, no one would care.

Nariel slipped through the quiet streets of Menzoberranzan. She was off to meet with Jarlaxle, leader of Breagan Dearth, the guild of bandits and assassins.

She was going to ask Jarlaxle if he knew of a drow from the Do'Urden family, her family. She had heard tale of a young familess drow. And was hoping it was her brother, who she had grown up with.

They had only had each other in the dark world of the drow. Though she thought him dead she just had to ask Jarlaxle.

"You did well my friend," the client said as he handed the assain the bag of money and magic sword. After a few uneasy moments for the client the assassin replyed.

"Your missing something."

"Oh right! The food...," the client pointed to a small rock, "Its in there my friend. I hide my food in hollowed out rocks like that so that the Cave Fishers can't find it." With that the Client ran.

"Great... he lied....," the assassin said as he watched the fool run down the tunnel of the Underdark, "Oh well at least I got a new sword." He straped the new blade to his back and the bag of money to his belt. Just to be sure he testewd the rock and confirmed his suspisons. Then he ran off back to the city and back to the guild hall.

"Why hello!" Jarlaxle exclaimed as Nariel walked through hid doors.

Nariel smiled, she liked this drow. He was one of the nice drow. "Hi. I presume you know what i'm looking for?" She asked him. Jarlaxle nodded.

"Why yes i do. You're looking for your brother. And i happen to kow a few people that fit his discription." He said, eyeing her money bag. She threw it at him.

"Please show them to me!" She said. He nodded and motioned for a gaurd. With a few movements in the drow hand language the soldier ran off.

"He is off to look for one of them. A particullar one, that i picked up from house Do'Urden." He said, smiling.

Nariel smiled back and settled into a chair. She could barely hold her composure. If this was really her brother she could finally stop worring. She prayed to Lolth that it was.

The assassin sat down at a table deep within the assassins guild hall. He had finnaly gotten that cold drink he had been searching for all day. He was about to down it when a guard came up and asked him a rather strange question, "You are of the Do'Urdon house are you not?"

"Considering no such house exists anymore, no," he replyed.

The guard seemed frustrated by this but kept his composure, knowing full well this Drow's skill, "I mean. You where once a member of that house. Am I correct?"

"Yes... why do you ask?"

"Come with me. A High Priestess wishes to speak with you."

A High Priestess? What could she want with me? My skills arn't that well known are they? None the less the assassin followed him, you did not want to keep a female waiting, let alone a High Priestess.

The gaurd came into the room. "I found him." he said. Nariel stood and looked to the door all the while praying they had the right drow.

The assassin walked through the door and searched the room quizzicaly. When he saw the young woman he walked over and knew this was the priestess that had summoned him, "Yes?"

Zenith had to think for a moment and then his eyes filled up with recignision(Sp?). A smile flickered onto his lips and one word passed them, "Nariel"

Nariel pulled him into an embrace. "I thought you dead brother!" She whispered into his ear. Jarlaxle cleared his throat and Nriel pulled away, remebering her status as a high preistess. "Would you come with me to my quarters? It's more private. We can catch up." She said, standing.
