Dry Cleaning getting Green

Story

With the new regulations that California are inacting, the dry cleaning business is having to find new ways to dry clean clothes. I was afraid that many mom and pop cleaners would go out of business, but Mr. Shaw seems to be doing what is needed to persevere in the situation. I just hope others have the funds to invest in the new machines needed to keep up with the regualations.

I hate pollution as much as the next person, but I am concerned about the pace that these regulations require businesses to change over. What would a good solution be for the mom and pop businesses?

a good solution is to switch over as fast as possible.
Maybe that's not a good solution for the cleaners buisness...but if we are not doing what's right for our enviroment then we need to get on top of that.
I can't see the logic in any company not wanting to comply with the new regulations quickly.

Dry cleaners have been producing hazardous wastes and still continue to this day, if there is something that can be done to reduce that then action needs to be taken.

In my oppinion switching over can not possible be that expensive.
If mom and pop shops are making enough to keep open, then they can fork over the cash to change whatever needs to be changed.
Not to mention, you can take on a new form of advertising ...The green way.
And new buisness would arise.
There are plenty of people who don't dry clean their clothes for the enviroment...
I don't dry clean.

I don't dry-clean, but that's got little to do with the environment (in fact, I have no idea how they do it). It's just too expensive.
