The guild has been growing well, and because we wanted to lighten the mood, and because we felt like it – Enj and I decided to have a contest – a silly one! Christians – it’s time to get your Gladrags on*! Basically we want you to come up with the silliest looking avatar you can. (Like Enj’s cross - dressing eyeball, or my gay squid.) You have until next Monday to officially enter! Good luck - I can't wait to see what you come up with. * Contest name courtesy of the lovely NemithenaDue to late interest, we have extended the deadline by one week. the new deadline is 9 July. Winnsers to be announced on the 16th. So please, participate, people!

The Rules
arrow You must declare that you want to enter by 2 July. PM either me or Violet before that date and we will post the names of those who have entered as they arrive to us. In your PM, please include a brief description of the outfit as you would in the avatar arena. This can be anything from a couple sentences to an elaborate story. Keep in mind that they will be posted with your name on this thread. On 2 July, you must have your silly avatar outfit on your avatar.
arrow You MUST keep your avatar in its contest-form (the outfit that you want to have judged) for one week. That means until 9 July. You must post in forums with it, walk around towns with it, and just generally look silly on Gaia for an entire week. Because of this, you cannot create your avatar with tektek. You must own or borrow all items you wish to use.
arrow Winners will be announced on 10 July.
arrow Judging will be done by SinfulGuillotine and Violet_Abyss. As such, we will not be entered in the contest.
Prizes
The number of prizes will depend on the number of people who enter, and will be as follows:
2-9 people: First place only
10-14 people: First and second place
15+ people: First, second, and third place.
If we have more than one prize, we will provide several prizes to choose from. First place will get to choose which they want first, second place will get second pick, and third place (assuming there is one) will choose third.
We will announce the prize(s) on 2 July when we know how many people have entered. But they'll be good, I promise. Each prize will have a value of at least 1000 gold, so really. you should enter. Seriously.

The Cool People Who Have Entered (You want to be a cool person too):

Ok, so here's the deal.
You might know it, you might not, but the pose of the UFO that I have on my head is called Mind Control, so I based my whole avatar around that.
The premise is that the alien has no idea how humans dress and just put some random stuff on because Earth (or Gaia) has a nudity taboo. Not knowing how to coordinate clothes, it came out like this. It's wearing 4d goggles so it can navigate the human world properly (not used to seeing in 3 dimensions) and the strangely dressed person must ooze a certain aura, because he has 3 chicks and a shadow spirit following him. He has something mysterious in his bag (maybe it's for you!). He was walking along minding his own business when he caught the attention of another animal. He got pooped on. That's right. Right on his alien dome too.
So that's my avatar.

Well, not attacked. More like show great affection in the middle of me putting on my work clothes. Yes, I wear reindeer hooves and chinese death clothing to work. It's all apart of my job as the imaginer. I craft dreams for people, and to do it, my boss thinks I must wear a ludicrous outfit, otherwise people might get confused and think that the dreams I craft are real. And we can't have people confusing reality with dreams. It'll mess up their memories or something.
I'm not entirely certain I agree with my boss on that point, but he pays me the money, which I direly need to take care of my friends - they eat far too much! In fact, right now is dinner for them. Hence the friendly attacks.
Settle down, little ones! Your food is coming soon!

I woke up late this morning and wet my hair in the shower, hoping to have washed out all of yesterday's St. Patrick's Day hair dye. Unfortunately it just made my hair extremely frizzy when it dried. Today was casual day at the office, but the only things clean were brown! I ran as fast as I could but it looked like I had missed the train, so I cut through the city zoo. When I finally got to work I noticed a lot of people stiffling a laugh. When I looked in the bathroom mirror I was horrified! Some animals had mistaken me for a tree! A monkey and some doves had made their nest in my still green hair, and you don't even want to know where that racoon made its home...I guess that's what I get for using hair products that smell like pine trees.
