Azrael glared as the sun pounded down on his head. "What a horrid day...the sun is out and there are no clouds for cover." He stalked about the forest heading towards the pound. As he went he spotted a small nest of chicks and a wicked smile curled across his wicked jaws. "What do we have here? Lunchtime it is then." With that he pounced upon the nest, crunching ever chick in site. "What a lovely meal, 4 fat chicks." He said as he wiped the feathers from his mouth. Continuing on he made his way to the pound and sat at the edge of it, staring into the water.
Growling could be loudly heard from the distance across the pond from Azrael, and it sounded quite mad...or something close to it. Glowing Dark red eyes stared intently at the ulaith, more or less disgusted by his mannerisms. Glinting of steel could be seen in the same spot as the dark red glowing eyes
Jihi sat at the opposite end of the pond with her two Ulaiths and their Ta'ael friend. Green orbs stared into the waters, perhaps searching for fish, or simply just entranced by the water. "It's a nice day, don't you think," she asked. Niluu nodded.
"Yes, young miss. It is a wonderful day."
Obviously, the leader of the Elnia tribe and her family were completely oblivious to both the demonic Ulaith and Grom on the opposite side of the pond. jace could hear a large ulaith heading towards the pond and saw bane running towards the noise and decided to follow him bane had an instinct that had only failed him once... when they came upon the clearing they found azrael. he always made jace nervous for some reason so he decided it would be best to stay qiuet he only hoped bane decided to do so as well
Neirin strolled along the edge of the sky blue pond his attention almost completely devoted to the book he was reading. Playing along at his heels were Meztli and Aurel, biting and nipping at one another. Ilmari kept her watchful eye over the two making sure they didn't fall into the pond.
Neirin looked up from his book and turned his head over his shoulder, looking at the two Ulaiths.
"Hey you two, be careful!" he said worriedly.
They looked up and blinked then resumed playing again. Neirin sighed.
"Ulaiths."
Azrael glared down at the orc growling at him from across the pound. "You dare growl at me you odd beast?" He said with a laugh as he stood up and took a few steps into the pound. "You need some manners." He said, narrowing his glowing yellow eyes.
azrael had become angered and was looking at some bushes jace saw the bright red eyes and the glint of steel "oh hell..." jace didnt dare take his eyes off azrael or the orc on the other side of the pond
Grom stepped from the bushes, his axe being held firmly in his hands. "Manners learned from a demon spawn? That will be the day." he said with an obvious cockiness in his tone. He stood up erect and grinned maliciously, as if taunting him. "You are the one who just destroyed their chances for freedom in the winds...it seems you are the one who needs learning. Whelp." He said, the last word said in distaste or disgust, whichever could be interpreted.
Kellen stands near the pond, on the side that Azrael was on, "Axel, you coat looks like his.." Kel said quietly to Axel, as he sat on Kel's shoulder.
Aviante looks over at it as well.
Axel looks to his left and sees the great beast he squeaks in fear, he can feel the power of Azrael.
Bored from looking into the pond, Omrin and Raeli's Chosen turned her attention elsewhere. A little ways away she noticed Neirin and gave him a small wave. "Hello, Neirin," she called out. Across the pond she noticed something too; Azrael, and Grom, both of which were being watched by Jace.
"Well, this is an odd situation."
Quite a rendevouz had gathered at the pond, as Neirin looked around.
"An orc" he looked to the large creature arguing with a demonic looking Ulaith.
"Jihi's over there with her Ulaiths and Ta'ael and the prat from yesterday is somewhere around here. Hmmm...so much for quiet reading." He saw Jihi and gave her a small wave.
Disdraught, Neirin put his book back into the safety of the sash about his waist and settled himself right where he was standing to watch at the quarrel going on.
"grom you are a fool!"jace thought over this then quickly added " no offense meant" jace heard a sound and turned to see a chosen with their two bonded "hello?"
"Whelp." Azrael repeated back with a laugh. A wicked grin curled it way across his jaw once again as he stepped farther into the pound, and closer to the orc. "Demon spwan, ha! I am the demon, not the spawn. You shall learn to respect those wickeder than you, little orc." He said with a snarl as he spade tail whipped about behind him in anger.
Grom boldly stepped into the edge of the pond, his axe sitting on his right shoulder, and a wicked smirk on his face, that was close to snarling. "Whelp indeed. I've fought demons that possessed my entire race...I have broken blood bonds that dated before recorded history." "You want wickedness, you talk to me. Whelp." He said, this time meaning it in full context. "You are a whelp compared to my past demons, and nothing more."
jace didnt think it a smart idea but spoke loudly to azrael "the wicked only deserve respect as enemies" jace knew this would anger azrael and likely grom as well but they would be famous last words... if anyone had heard them
Kellen looked at Jace, "Hey, umm.. When did this start, cause I've been camping at this pond for the past couple of days..." Kel itched the back of his head.
"Do you think things will get out of hand, miss," Niluu asked, concerned at the arguing that was going on across the pond. None of them liked confrontation, and if things got out of hand what were they going to do? Jihi merely shrugged and picked up Raeli. "I'm not sure, Niluu. All we can do is watch." Omrin snorted at the sight of the arguing before lying down next to his Chosen. In his opinion it was pointless.
Azrael kept his wicked grin as he stared down at this boldly stupid orc. He remained silent as he stepped up to him breathing down on him. "Oh really?" He stated, hot foul breath pounding down on the orc.
Grom growled and breathed in harsh breaths back at the demonic dragon. "Yes, whelp. I have." he stated boldly again, his own foul breath breathing onto Azrael's chest.
Neirin's cornflower blue eyes widened with interest and a hint of fear.
"These two have certainly come a long way, haven't they Neirin?" asked Ilmari sitting beside her Ulaiths' Chosen.
He nodded shakily and turned back to the orc and Ulaith.
jace thought of kellens question and answered "to my knowledge... just now" jace ran inbetween grom and azrael and had quite an idea if they would be hostile it may be diverted "you two are fools sairys is the most wicked thing in this world" jace stated blankly he looked back to find bane cowering on the shore oh s**t this isnt good then he saw the stranger that kept an act for jihi and yelled "hey help me out here"
Azrael sat before the orc, still glaring down at him. His wicked grin still plastered across his jaw. "Would you like to know what I think of you orc?" He stated as he slightly lowered his head, holding it just above the orc's. He relaxed his back spike slightly, holding them down at his sides as his spade tail curled about his legs.
Kellen sighed, he looked to his bonded and sternly stated, "Guys, get somewhere safe." He watched them go and hide under a hollowed out stump, Kellen then drew his sword, "Aries Bond, protect me and my bonded," the sword began to glow, he readied to parry any blows that came his way.
Grom spit in Azrael's face and stepped back once, grinning. "That matters not. That's what I think of you." He said, completely ignoring the impotent human. He took to a battle stance just in case he decided to attack him. He doubted he would last long if he got struck, but he trusted in his speed.
"No thanks! I'll stay put! Besides, it's not my business. Good luck with that!"
Neirin waved at Jace, laughing at his foolery. Involving yourself into matters that didn't even concern you was not the best way to live your life. Especially when it concerned two powerful warriors.
jace knew that neither of them would listen he would have to attack one of them to get them to stop fighting but which would he be able to beet? jace was slightly disgusted at nierin and yelled "your very brave when there is no danger arent you?" jace turned around to see kellen sword at the ready he may help if he sees fit he thought and finally decided that attacking grom was his best bet and turned to face him but hesitated
Azrael glared as he wiped the spit away quickly with one of his spikes. He stood up, holding his spikes in front of him once again. "I was going to say I liked you for your bravery, though now I see only stupidity." HE glanced back and saw that there were other around them. 'Oh joy a crowd. Maybe one would make a nice snack.' He thought to himself as he spotted the one with the glowing sward. The gem on his forehead flashed as he lashed out with one spike, aiming for his weapon returning his attention to the orc.
Grom grinned widely and got into a deep, wide, savage stance. He looked like wild animal in this form. "Stupidity? Hardly. You'd make an interesting mount, whelp. Tell me, Do you bow to power?" He asked, grinning still. He had only hoped...he felt he could do it. Submission did wonders in forced obediance, from his experiences.
"Oi, you prat, there's a diffrence between bravery and ignorance! I'd much rather live than to be killed in something that doesn't concern me." Neirin shrugged, getting up his seat. He picked up his companions and moved towards a more sheltered area, a ways off from what seemed to be an oncoming battle.
as much as jace disliked grom he knew grom would not harm others unless they crossed him and turned to face azrael and backed towards grom "im going to need your help grom azrael is threatening others"he whispered praying it would get a response
"I will not bow to you or any being." Azrael said with a roar. "You have your own Ulaith, I can smell it on you. Now run off and play with your little baby why don't you." He snarled at the orc as he leapt over him and landed on the shore behind him. "You bore me now." He called back to the being behind him now. With that he vanished into the shadows of the forest, his wicked laugh echoing through the trees.
"Hmph," Kellen sidestepped the attack, he thought to himself, "He's going to have to do better than that." He looked to the sky, "If they really want to fight, I will stop them, in one form or another."
Grom laughed aloud as if in triumph, and let his axe head fall to the ground, his hands still tightly gripping the handle. "I bore you? Next time, you won't be...Whelp." He said with a growl. He looked down at the impotent human with a grin that quickly shifted into a scowl, his eyes still glowing. "You come anyway, despite my warnings...and you wish to HELP me?! PAH! I need help from no one...go back to your hole from wence you came."
jacelet out a sigh then remembered he was standing next to his enemy and stood still for a moment and saw kellen gazing towards the sky and yelled"kellen hes gone"
"and dammit grom your hate has finally blinded you i asked for your help!"jace glared contemptously at grom
It was too bad that the fight ended so early, Kellen looked back at Grom, his eyes and hair were white and his skin had darkened, he had also grown to about six feet eight inches tall. His sword had grown nearly twice times as long. "I'll stop the change here." He blinked and he stopped growing, "Tis' a damn shame, I was going to break it up.. Heh heh.."
jace continued to glare at grom"i offered no help i asked it of you fool" jace looked towards kellen and saw that he had changed and wondered what in heaven hell or earth he was
Grom scoffed and turned his back to Jace. "Leave now...quickly. Before I get angry..."
Kellen looked at Jace, "You have nothing to worry about, you have been kind to me," Kellen snapped and a white cloak landed on his shoulders. "I was going to change into something else.. But I stopped it, I shall stay in this form for now however.."
Neirin rolled his eyes, looking uninterested upon the insolance of Jace as he tried standing up to the orc.
If that fool keeps his act up, he's going to end up getting killed.
"im not leaving grom"jace said quietly "you may choose to but i will not id rather get this bullshit anger between us overwith" jace sat in the water to prove he meant no hostilities jace looked towards kellen he wasnt worried but he saw no point in sharing this information he also looked towards nierin and laughed inside his head jace could see he thought jace foolish he cannot even guess my strength. i just hope he isnt assuming im weak due to my age
"Jace, you have nothing to worry about, I will protect my friends." Kellen stood beside Jace, with his Ulaith on his shoulders.
Grom lifted his axe and he quickly turned, his axe soaring overhead as it came down and thunked into the ground next to Jace with a ear splitting roar of anger. He was breathing heavy, and his body form looked as if he was containing rage, and not doing so well. "You...leave...now..."
Kellen raised an eyebrow and laughed, "Who do you think you are!" Kellen began to grow again, his skin turning into a stony grey, his hair turning heavenly white, his sword widening into a massive blade, and two bulges under the back of his cloak that spread into two huge wings. Kellen set his Ulaith down and put the white hood over his head, his face darkened and turned blank. "My true form is complete.. Ha..Hahaa.. I am the Faceless Angel of Death. Prepare for Judgement, I shall not strike first."
"thank you kellen but i must ask you to leave my affair with grom alone. he has much pride and i beleive it is easily hurt" jace said and looked calmly towards grom and gave him such a look as to say no "if ive hurt your pride i apologize, but i could use your help and i could help you. we are in a war and anyone who walks alone is sure to be captured or perish no matter their strength"
"Seriously Jace, I would depart if I were you. The orc doesn't look very pleased with you. It would be for the best."
Neirin motioned with his hands towards a small path that led out of the area.
"You're not really in the best position anyways." -end for Moto-

Grom was sitting in the middle of the Ta'ael Grasslands with his legs crossed and his large hands set on his knees with his back erect and his dark red eyes closed. He was meditating on his next set of actions... Was he to participate in this human war alone and die with honor or was he to try and stop them with allies? Some allies did not seem worthy enough, just like the Impotent one, and he didn't know who would betray him in the end in any case... Jihi and the messenger girl were the only ones he deemed trustworthy...and he still held the Ulaith on his waist band, waiting for it to hatch...
"Haha! At last! I am free!" Moto exclaimed joyfully running into the grasslands looking for Grom.
"Mr. Grom! I am letter-free today! I put myself on a hiatus until I run out of money. I need a break."
She sighed exasperatedly, plopping down beside the orc. She noticed he was holding his little fetus bottle and grinned.
"Don't worry Mr. Grom! The little one will pop out soon!"
Grom's eyes popped open and he looked at Moto with a smile. "That's good, Moto. It should do you some good to be free from menial tasks." He said, chuckling. He looked down at the little fetus and he continued to smile. "I only hope he does not end up like the Whelp."
Moto coughed, remembering the "impotent one" and his Ulaith. She snickered and shook her head.
"Don't worry Mr. Grom, you're a good per- I mean orc! Your Ulaith will be in good hands!"
Moto smiled holding up a gloved thumb.
"He'll be a handful though. Just like Meztil and Aurel. Luckily I have Ilmari to help me. Speaking of which, where did they run off to?"
She scanned the grasslands for any sight of the two boisterous little Ulaiths and their companion.
Grom looked at the little red fetus in the jar and raised an eyebrow. "I have yet to even give him a name...at least, this one will be a male, hopefully." He set the jar down and looked at it some more, with a hand on his chin, and the elbow of said arm was resting on his knee. "I was considering Rashkae, but I do not know if it will be male...and I am no good at female names."
"Hmm?" Moto turned back to the orc. "Oh, names! Rashkae sounds good! But if it does turn out to be a female, I'd be more than happy to assist you in looking for a name! Even though I gave Ilmari a boy's name, but she doesn't have to know."
Grom sat up erect once more and turned his head towards the messenger. "You are a more experienced Chosen...what benefits does one gain to being a Chosen?"
Benefits. She had never really thought of the aspect of "benefits" from being a Chosen. All she ever saw Meztli and Aurel as were cute, scaley friends.
"Hmm...I really don't know Mr. Grom, now that I think about it. Meztli and Aurel are just very faithful companions. They're very devoted to me and I to them. I guess you could say you have a friend for life."
Grom put a hand on his chin in thoughtful contemplation...a companion for life? He had been living alone for some time now, ever since the raid... He looked up, smiling. "A companion will always be nice. I suppose the only thing worrying me now is when little Rashkae will hatch. Besides, I already have an ally, and once he hatches, I Will have two allies. Right?"
"Of course! Actually, no. You'll have..."
Moto looked up at the clouds lazily strolling across the azure skies. She began to count on her fingers.
"You'll have Rashkae, me, Meztli, Aurel, Ilmari, and Jihi! And I'm sure her Ulaiths and Ta'ael would be your allies as well! That makes a grand total of...nine allies! That's quite a lot there Mr. Grom."
Moto nodded, chuckling to herself.
Grom lowered his head, though he still smiled. "I only wish I could see my clan one more time, just one more time...I miss them all so. It plagues me to know that I survived the raid, and that they all died." No emotion showed on his rough green face. Not even a tear threatened to drop from his eyes. He had no emotion.
Moto cocked her head, looking sympathetically at the meloncholic orc. She patted what she could reach of his back, hoping it might console him some.
"What happened to your clan, if you don't mind me asking? If it's any better, I'm an orphan. My parents dropped me off at the postman's doorstep when I was three."
Moto laughed sadly, bringing her hands to her lap.
"But I have my friends, so I'm ok."
Grom sighed and stood up, grabbing his axe and setting on his shoulder. He let his shoulders drop as he looked at her. "We were setting up for a daily raid for our gathering of food and supplies for a long, cold winter...I was the head of the group charged with protecting the hometown against any invaders." "When they all came." "The humans had created an army to wipe us out entirely. It was a wholesale mass slaughter. They located and butchered my daughter and my wife, and I had been caught in the mass of men and elves alike, killing all who they saw with orcish features.." "I had just recovered from the wounds of a previous battle, and they eventually captured me...but then, my blood brother, Thrall, had rescued me at the cost of his own life...I ran so fast and so hard that not even their chargers could catch me. To this day, I am still in debt to my brother, but I can never repay him...never."
Moto watched wide-eyed clutching at her heart tighter and tighter as Grom continued with his story. When he finished she tried rubbing at her eyes to keep away the tears.
"That's horrible Mr. Grom" she said through a voice full of tears. "I'm sorry to hear all of that."
Grom nodded to Moto, smiling. Why he was smiling, even he did not know. "I only thank you for listening to my sorrowfull tale. Now you know why I am how I am. That massacre changed me from a bloodthirsty savage to an intelligent loner..." "Though I will admit, I cannot help but let pride take presedence over my train of thought. Those who are denied the freedom of the winds activate a righteous fury even I don't feel anyone should experience. But that is for another time. But I must ask, while it is on my mind. You know of the on-coming war?"
"Anytime Mr. Grom, after all, we're allies! We must understand one another in order to work well together. And what! A war? Since when was this going to happen!"
Moto's flabbergasted response to the word war obviously meant she had no clue of what going on.
She cleared her throat and straightened out the strap on her messenger bag, gathering herself from her shock.
"War? Why for?"
Grom grunted and let hsi axe drop, the axeblade thunked into the ground. "It seems the humans are once more attempting to control the Ulaiths for war, from my understanding..." "And we must either wait for it to begin or we must fight back now...as what was told from the Shaman."
"Dispicable! That's simply blasphemous! Why would anyone want to use these creatures for war?"
As she spoke, Meztli, Aurel, and Ilmari came running towards her, tackling her onto her back. She laughed along with her friends as they began to tickle her stomach.
"I mean...look at...the-heehee, Aurel stop! them! They're magnificent beings. I'd never let them do any harm to anyone, unless they provoked us of course."
Moto pushed off the Ulaiths and Ta'ael and gathered them onto her lap, petting each one lovingly.
Grom nodded and then stepped back as she was suddenly tackled, yet a smile snuck its way onto his face without him knowing. "Magnificent indeed.." He looked down at the Ulaith fetus at his belt and patted it tenderly, as if he were holding something more precious than a rare jewel. "Someday, Rashkae...you and I will defend the honor and lives of all...together." he said, thinking of the great things that could be achieved.
Aurel, the youngest of the two Ulaiths scrambled up onto Moto's head sitting quietly on his hind legs, looking like a sentry on the lookout.
"You are so strange Aurel" Moto chortled looking up at the watchful Ulaith. Her Ta'ael settled beside her, curling up into a ball while Meztli played with his tail.
"So you settled with Rashkae, Mr. Grom?" Moto asked listening to the orc speaking to his Ulaith fetus.
Grom nodded and set his left hand on the jar, his right hand holding his axe. "Yes, I am. Rashkae, and if I am to find out this one is Female, Vilahna - named after my daughter."
"Ooo...that's a pretty girl name. Your daughter must've been a good-natured person, since you're very kind as well Mr. Grom."
She smiled holding up Meztli to the orc.
"You should get to know the rest of your allies. Don't worry, the worst this guy can do is tickle. Unless he bites, but then that's a diffrent story."
Moto frowned, apperantly remembering a past episode with her first Ulaith.
Grom's large hand hovered below the Ulaith she held out to him, and he let her drop Meztli into it. He looked at Meztli curiously. "This is what my Ulaith will look like, only red?" he asked
Meztli shook his head, looking back at Aurel.
The Ta'ael lifted her head and began to speak to the orc.
"Meztli was a special Ulaith bestowed to Moto by the Gods. Notice that Aurel doesn't have wings, but Meztli does? He's a bit diffrent, as are all Ulaiths."
Grom looked at Meztli curiously once more, jumping him up and down and turning him about slowly. "I see...so mine will not have wings. I suppose they will act like a giant mount, once they come of age?" he asked, deeply intrigued.
The Ta'ael nodded looking out to the vast grasslands.
"You and your Ulaith, once it comes of age, will be able to roam these lands as its predecedors have done for many years. You will also have a faithful friend. He'll also be able to speak."
Grom set the little one down at his feet and picked up his jar with the Fetus. "How long does it take for them to hatch? I wish to make a Warrior out of this one before he becomes an adult.." he said. "A warrior, and a great companion he will be too. His ability to speak will also make things much easier on my part."
"It varies upon Ulaith and the interaction it has with its Chosen" said Ilmari standing up, stretching out her body. She walked over to the orc and Meztli, taking him by the scruff of his neck.
Placing him down over by Moto she nodded in agreement.
"It's very convinient once your Ulaith speaks. But that is when they've become adolescents."

He stood upon the edge of a cliff, the wind streaming his pale taupe hair to and fro. The sun was setting as his meloncholic glance stared out to the picturesque sunset, his heart panged for his sweetheart many miles away. He held the only token of rememberance; a small lavender sash with the faint scent of roses she loved so much.
Ivy green eyes watched from the woods just before the cliff, wondering what he was thinking about. Omrin, Raeli had gone to play together in the woods along with Niluu, which would keep them busy for a while. This enabled their Chosen to have some quiet time to herself, but she hadn't expected to see Neirin at the cliff.
"I didn't expect to see anyone all the way out here."
Neirin quickly piveted and before him saw the one called Jihi. Quickly stuffing his beloved's sash into his shirt he stammered a hurried hello and looked away. His ears were turning as red as coals. He thought he had been alone!
How foolish I am! Goodness!
Neirin quickly brought his turban down upon his ears trying to hide his rosen ears.
"What brings you here, Jihi?" he asked turning slightly to look at her.
The teenager's head tilted a bit in confusion at the sight of Neirin scrambling to get his turban on. Was he embarrassed over something? If so, what could it be, and why was he trying to hide it?
"My Ulaith and Niluu are out playing in the woods, so I decided to come here," she confessed as she took a seat next to him. "It's relaxing and quiet out here, and it gives me a chance of scenery other than the river where those of Elnia stay." In the next moment, Jihi turned to stare at him momentarily before looking out to the horizon. "What brings you here? Did you just want to get away, too?"
He felt his ears weren't as hot so he loosened his grip on the edges of the turban. Neirin shrugged, not quite sure why he came out here.
"I just happened to stumble by here as we were walking to the next village." he said flatly. He sat beside Jihi and began to take off his turban. He moaned delightedly for his head was finally exposed to a cool breeze.
"I don't know whre the others are, I know they went to gather something. Ilmari's with them, so they'll be alright."
Neirin smiled, something he seldom did, remeniscing upon the thought of the little trio he had gathered.
"I bet Deni would enjoy their company..." he whispered.
"You travel from village to village? Do you have a place to stay? If you don't, then you are more than welcome to join my tribe. I just started it. I've decided to call it the Elnia Tribe, and we could need a few new members." she explained, bringing her knees up to her chest.
"Your Ta'ael friend will keep them safe. They watch over the Ulaith when they become companions with one, and they also bring luck. It's good to have them around, and I'm glad to have Niluu in my company. I'm sure Ilmari is a nice Ta'ael."
Jihi then smiled at him. It was nice to talk to Neirin. He didn't rush into things rashly like Jace, and he didn't pick fights like Grom did.
"I'll consider it. I need to collect some things before I settle anywhere, especially since Deni's been alone at home for a long time. I'm a failure as a husband."
He looked at Jihi and laughed wearily.
At Neirin's last statement Jihi found her mouth dropping in awe. "I didn't know you were married," she gasped, eyes wide. "You should go and spend time with her!"
"You didn't? Well, I am. Heheh."
He smiled sheepishly, looking down at his hands which now were fiddling with the ends of his sleeves nervously.
"It's more like we're engaged but either way, I'd always call her my wife. She's a sweet little creature but oh so fragile. I remember when her parents first came to ask if I'd marry their child."
Neirin snickered at the thought. He turned to Jihi looking quite happy. It felt kind of nice to have another to talk to after a long time.
A warm and kind smile brushed across the lips of Omrin and Raeli's Chosen at the thought. It must be nice to have someone that he could go back to; someone that he knew loved him with everything that they had and would for the rest of their life. "I bet she's a really nice woman, and I'm sure that you make her family proud."
"Hmm...you mean child. She's only 14. I don't even think she's bled yet. But yes, she's a wonderful person."
Neirin nodded firmly looking out dreamily towards the now dark blue sky. While he and Jihi were talking, the sun had completely gone down!
"My how time goes by quickly!" he said surprised, realizing it was now dark. He thought back to Jihi who was also traveling with only her Ulaiths and Ta'ael.
"I'm going to camp out here for the night, if your home is too far for you, you're more than welcome to camp here with me. But for now, I'm going to go gather some firewood."
Neirin stood, dusting off his pants he headed out towards a small thicket behind him and Jihi to look for some suitable wood to begin a fire.
Just as Neirin got up, the teenager got up right after and dusted herself off in suit. She didn't like to be dirty, and having dirt on her clothes made her feel uncomfortable. Once she was up, Jihi turned and looked out toward the wood only to see her Ulaith and Niluu walking toward them.
"Thank you for offering, but our village is just a little way down the river. Feel free to join us if you like. We have a home you can stay in, and your Ulaith and Ta'ael will be taken care of accordingly," she told him. Omrin nodded as she finished, followed by a small chirp from Raeli. "But," she continued, "if you'd rather stay here then we all understand that."
He reemerged from the thicket with a few multi-length sticks in his arms. Releasing them onto the floor he shook his head and jabbed his thumb over his shoulder, out to the dark.
"Ilmari, Meztli, and Aurel aren't back yet. I'm going to wait for them, but thank you for the offer."
"It's no problem at all. We understand!"
And with that, the leader of the Elnia tribe turned and headed toward the woods with her family. Raeli scurried quickly behind her Chosen, chirping a happy little tune. Niluu followed behind her, as watchful as ever and then came Omrin bringing up the rear of the group. Before disappearing completely into the woods, the teeaged Ulaith turned to look back at Neirin. He stared as if he were beckoning him to come, but then finally walked off behind his family.

Role play: Tues, July 3, 2007
Grom slowly walked along the Ta'el plains with his axe in hand...his body was somewhat stiff in movements, as if he were expecting someone or something to attack. He was anxious...battle ready...blood thirsty. The grip he had on his axe was enough to make a tree limb snap in two...he was too ready. He needed something to calm his mind and his body...but what? He could not figure it out...
"Hey! Mr. Grom! Look what we found!" Moto called out coming down from a small hill leading down from the forest surrounding the fields. Moto held up a pair of brown, work-worn gloves to the Orc.
"I say they're pretty comfortable, considering their state. I mean look at them, they're more worn down than the leather sack my father has used for twenty years to deliver mail!" she said amazed examining her new pair of gloves in the air. She twisted them in the light, looking at their condition.
Grom looked back at Moto and smiled at her optimism. He took the gloves into his hands, but did not remove them from her own. He inspected them thoroughly, and nodded. "They are good gloves indeed. perhaps you should take them to a professional tailor and have them repaired. They would be good for all purposes, I think."
She scowled and shook her head.
"Bleh, I'll fix them myself! Once I don't feel so lazy. Besides, I need to make my money last since I stopped working."
She laughed nervously, wondering when she would have to return to delivering letters. The dreaded feeling of returning to see the faces of love-struck couples, crying women, angry farmers, and what not didn't seem very appealing to her at the moment.
Grom chuckled at Moto's comment and demeanor. "Well, if you go back to delivering letters, you have someone besides Ulaiths to keep you company, if you remember." He had a thought and then burst into another fit of chuckles. "Besides, who would dare do anything to slight you if you have an Orc Warrior standing beside you?"
"Definately!" She said with a large grin. Moto took a moment to think about Mr. Grom's second comment, then she remembered.
"Ehehehe...probably father would. He might think I brought another pet home."
She soon was overwhelmed with nostalgia, remembering her pets back home.
Grom smiled, showing his jagged white teeth. "I'm no pet. You know, perhaps meeting your family would create an...interesting, experience for me. Agreed?" He had hoped she would agree. He really liked this woman, and if her family was anything like her, he would most definently be amused.
"Quite possibly. I could introduce you to all of my friends! I could also show you where I plan to be burried when I die. My assumption is that I'm going to die getting ran over by a cart. Especially since its nearly happened many times already."
She looked quite excited about the opportunity to show her new friend, or as he called her, ally, her home. But she began to think, where would she house him? Taking a look at Mr. Grom, she thought about possible housing areas around her home.
"Mr. Grom, you wouldn't mind sleeping with my chickens, would you?" she asked, cocking an eyebrow.
Grom looked at Moto with blinking eyes, and a smile that slowly began to get bigger. He finally chuckled after a few ackward moments blinking at her. "Chickens? What, is there no other place for me to sleep?" he asked, now smiling broadly. A scary sight indeed.
"Well you can't fit into my house, the doorway is too small to fit you through, and even if we could manage to get you through, I think you'd be uncomfortable in the bedrooms, they're too small for you. There is the option of living in the backhouse, but that's where I keep my horse, sheep, goat, cow, dogs," Moto took a deep breath and continued, "ducks, the occasional injured wolf or other creature that stumbles into our lands, and whatever else is in there that I can't remember!"
Grom had a sudden idea...and his smile shifted into a thoughtful grin. "You, Moto, would make an excellent beastmaster. You seem to have a love for all animals...but that is for another time. I suppose sleeping with the chickens would not harm me, so long as none try to nest on me."
jace had heard groms last statement and was debating wether or not to reveal himself bane looked at jace happily and jace thought well kihi isnt there so... "yes, that can be very uncomfortable" jace said not bothering to reveal himself if grom wanted to see him he would search him out
"Beast master? Sounds violent" she said with a shudder. Moto whistled, calling out her Ulaiths who were hanging out somewhere in the area. They came out running followed by their other guardian, the Ta'ael, Ilmari, looking happy and a little pudgy.
"Did you guys get something to eat without me?" she whined, drooping her shoulders.
Ilmari and the Ulaiths shrugged, and looked at her wondering why she called them.
"Oh yes, we're taking a trip back home! And we're brining Mr. Grom with us!"
The Ulaiths crooned happily and Ilmari smiled. A trip back home sounded really nice.
Grom smiled and put his great axe on his back strap of his leather weapon bandolier, and then crossed his arms as he heard the impotent human's voice. "Perhaps if I use your corpse as a pillow it might be more comfortable..." he said with a growl. "We can depart now, Moto, if you wish. I have all of my supplies."
"perhaps it would but youll never find out" jace couldnt help mesiing with grom but it was clear groms mind was made up about him so he figured he might as well
Ignoring Jace, Moto saluted Mr. Grom as a troop does to its general and took to goosestepping towards her home. The Ulaiths and Ta'ael followed behind their Bonded attempting to walk in a similar manner.
"Off we go towards home! Come on Mr. Grom!" she called waving a gloved hand over her head.
Grom saluted Moto in the same manner, only he did it from experience. he began to walk behind Moto with an energetic demeanor. He it had been some time since he had been near anyone other than those he met out in nature. He stopped for a moment and looked at the direction he heard Jace's voice. "All is forgiven, impotant one. Just don't push your luck next time." he said before continuing his stride with Moto.
"generous of you. and i wont push it if you dont" jace walked back to the pond which had been so eventful
"Mr. Grom doesn't start anything, you're the one who provokes him." she mumbled as she continued walking. "Oh well, we won't see him back home! So it's not that bad of an outcome." The Ulaiths and Ta'ael nodded in agreement. They continued walking along, (Moto got tired of goosestepping) out to the village where the quirky messenger girl came from.
Grom merely grunted in approval to Jace and he continued to take his stride next to Moto, his arms crossed as he walked next to her. "So, tell me of your family...what are they all like? Do you have brothers and sisters? You know, the details."
"I'm alone Mr. Grom. My parents couldn't have children. They're old enough to be considered my grandparents" Moto said with a giggle. "Although, I do have several cousins in the village whom I consider siblings. There's also my best friend who said I was his wife since the day we became best friends. We were only children back then, but he's still is true to his word."
Grom put his head down, as if shameful to ask that question. "Forgive me. My parents were tortured to death by elves. But I won't go into detail. Let us just travel in peace then, until we arrive at our destination."
