just because mai and zuko kiss dosn't mean that they'll end up together.Look at how many times Sokka kissed Yue,they didn't end up together.Some one in the zutara fan guild made and important point(to shippers)"Something bad always happens to couples!"ex. Sokka&Yue:yue died,Sokka&Suki:suki was probably killed by azula,Zuko&Jin:didn't get anywhere,Aang&Katara:Aang has to let her go...

The only problem i have with Zai/Maiko is that its not Katara with Zuko.
perhaps that doesn't make sense. But I kinda like Maiko, I just thought Zuko should be with Katara since Season 1, episode 2.

Zai/Maiko all the way. Because let's face it, Katara has more of a doting mother attitude so she'd probably end up smothering Zuko. Mai's got the right idea; it's clear she cares about Zuko's well-being, but she still gives him his own space and that's the kind of girl Zuko needs at this point.

She said struggle and anguish, and that most of it would be self-inflicted. 1) I highly doubt a relationship problem can be self-inflicted. At least not the problems Sokka's had so far. 2) Struggle could mean Sokka will have a considerable amount of spats with relationships, but everything still works out if only to a degree. So yeah, those are my thoughts on that.

Kay. So. Having seen up to the Day of Black Sun now, this is my honest opinion of what's going to happen:
Zuko will join up with the Avatar, yadda yadda. There's a possiblity there will be some romantic tension between Katara and Zuko, but then it's gonna end in Kataang. Honestly, the series has been Kataang up from the Cave of Two Lovers.
I like Maiko, because it amuses me to see their different, but somehow similar personalities - but that might be over now.
I won't die if the series goes Zutara, but I highly doubt it will happen, at least not permanently.
