Auguste didn't have much use or affection for his office, but he knew it was impractical to ask people to walk all the way out to his shop or his home just for a brief introduction. He was kicked back in his chair, which balanced dangerously on just two legs as he put his feet up on the desk. Across his lap was a stack of paperwork to be sorted through, another thing he had found to be an unenjoyable part of real leadership, as he'd much rather deal with people in person. There had been much less paperwork in his former life, but that was really not shocking to realize. It seemed more of a return to his first office job, but with better benefits.
He looked forward to the impending interruption by the new member he was waiting for. Auguste couldn't help but look up at the door and listen carefully after every few lines of carefully worded requests and complaints.

Ragweed paused outside the door to the office of Auguste Renoir's office. He had been told that Auguste would be introducing him to the formalities of the guild and helping him get accustomed to everything in place of his own guild captain who was currently unavailable. To tell the truth Ragweed wasn't actually that disappointed that he would be meeting his actual guild captain as from his experience in the strange shop he was quite looking forwards to meeting the man that the Edjerha shop keeper had spoken about. And after all he was the only guild leader he could put a name to...
He opened the door and peered inside the room to see a young Pennier man sitting behind a desk, mountains of paperwork strewn about the room. Assumably the pennier was Auguste and Ragweed could see that like his shop the man's wing were also blue along with his shaggy navy hair.
"Uh, Hey, I was told that you would introduce me into the league?" Ragweed said entering the room, closing the door behind him and send a soft breeze through the room rustling the paperwork and sending some fluttering off of their piles to glide down to the floor.

"Correct, correct," Auguste agreed and removed his legs from his desk to appear somewhat professional. His chair's two lifted legs fell back to the floor with a loud clacking noise. He grabbed for one of the pieces of paper flying delicately through the room and looked at it carefully, and as he did so one of the small lenses over his huge goggles fell down over his eye automatically.
"Ragweed of Oruliha, I presume?" He asked finally as he set the paper down on the desk and met eyes with the muscheron before him. The lens that had helped him read the paper moments earlier lifted so that he could take a good look at Ragweed. Auguste thought he looked rather young, but maybe it was the height difference that was fooling him. The paper listed him as some manner of druid, and Auguste was not surprised by the look of him. The boy would be Cleph's responsibility anyway.
Auguste's moment of intense consideration ended abruptly and he smiled pleasantly. He gestured with open arms, and his wings spread and mimicked the movement. "Welcome to the Asterion League."

Ragweed felt a little nervous as Auguiste examined him. He was all too aware of his scruffy appearance. He cursed inwardly that he didn't take the time to have a wash before he came. He realised that he must be pretty dirty not having washed for quite a few days... The establishment he was staying at didn't provide any washing facilities.
Ragweed's nervousness was removed however when Auguste's intense concentration ended and a warm smile was flashed his way. "I must say I'm pleased to be here Mr Renoir." He smiled back before digging his hands deep into the pockets off his trousers and glanced around the room taking in his new surroundings.
The office was a largish room, with a desk with various small blue trinkets strewn across it's surface. Off to the side of the room there was a small workbench with a couple of contraptions laying half completed along side some strange looking blue tools. Overall Ragweed took the impression that Auguste didn't spend half as much time in his office as his shop but that he had added his own unique touch t the room never the less.

"And we're pleased to have you, but really, just call me Auguste. I'm not even your division leader, so we can leave all the formalities to Cleph-- ah, that is, Mr. Baradel." He offered Ragweed a seat in the (blue) chair in front of his desk with another sweeping motion of both wing and arm.
"He's preoccupied at the moment but passes on his sincerest regards and enthusiasm." Auguste lied pleasantly. Well, not lied, but fabricated. Auguste was sure that whatever Cleph was feeling about the new member could be summed up as sincerest regards and something resembling enthusiasm. "Have you had a chance to look at the grounds?"

Ragweed sat down in the blue chair, he noticed that his feet could only just touch the floor and even then it was only the tips of his toes. He cursed in his head for the one thousandth time about his height, or rather lack of height. He put his hands on the arms on the chair and began tapping with his fingers as the Pennier asked him a question.
"Not yet, I've been living in a flea infes-, I mean run down old inn near the market place and I haven't had the chance to look around..." he smiling apologeticly knowing that Auguste would most likely prefer not to trudge around the grounds that he probably new like the back of his hand.

"Ah, we can alleviate that problem of yours." He said with a slight nod and amused smile. "The league offers housing to members, and I can assure you that we take great pride in our lack of pests and parasites."
Auguste had already began to stand and straighten out his clothes before he spoke again. "Let me show you around and I'll point out where the majority of the members live. I'm afraid I won't be able to officially get you a room until tomorrow, but come in the morning with your things and we'll set you up somewhere."

Ragweed nodded gratefully glad that he would be free of the terribly itchy bed and the noisy neighbours that kept talking throughout the whole of the night. "Yes, I'll drop off all my stuff tomorrow morning..." Ragweed got out of the chair and ran a hand through his hair and winced hoping he hadn't let his hair become a home to his bed bugs.
"Are we finished here? Can we start the grand tour?" asked Ragweed swinging his arms beside him and looking at Auguste for an answer.

Auguste gestured grandly to the door with a wing, encouraging Ragweed to exit. It was a refined movement, but a careful eye would probably have been able to tell that despite all his pomp and circumstance, Auguste was no aristocrat. "Yes, yes, please," he urged, "The grounds are beautiful around this season if you ask me." [It's good. Don't worry about it. whee ]

Ragweed exited quickly and nodded intently at the comment about the grounds. Throughout his stay in the city he had found the lack of fresh nature a startling and rather scary change. He had after all lived in a forest environment for the whole of his life and he didn't enjoy being away from nature. He had also noted that since arriving he had seen a single nature spirit and was sorely missing spending his evenings watching the ethereal little creatures.
