What's there not to love about two people who are constantly arguing, fighting and complaining about each other to the point of death wishes?
Where one is crushing on someone else but that someone pays no attention whatsoever and yet the one who's crushing spends more time paying attention to the other person than to her crush and that person reciprocates the other person's taunts?
Is all give and take between the love and hate!!! xd

*cracks knuckles* Say hello to my lil' fandom~ scream heart
1.) I simply like the hate/love theme. It's clear that they don't like each other, proven time and time again by Suigetsu's picking, and Karin's insults. The "love", to me, is the fact that their attention is almost ALWAYS on the other.
2.) Attention spans. I love the irony of it. XD They can't stand each other. But yet at the same time, one HAS to make a comment about the other, and the other HAS to retort, or get angry/aggrivated to a point. THEY GET UNDER EACH OTHER'S SKIN.
3.) The mysterious-ness of it. I like (though I'm curious) that we still don't know how they met, why they don't like each other, or anything about their past. For all our fantasies know, they could have actually been an item once, and had a bad end (I don't actually think this. But that's the thing. We don't know~).
4.) Potential. Being that they have all this attention, and they DO know each other well (how else would you know how to get on the other's nerves so bad, eh, Suigetsu?), I think that given the right scenes and development, it's entirely possible.

I'm also for the love/hate relationship.
I think that it's a good change in a couple pairing, hey, most
Naruto pairings are made because one has a crush or is in love
with the other, and Suigetsu and Karin hate each other!
I wonder what'll turn out?

They obviously care about what the other thinks of them. Suigetsu makes a comment and Karin reacts. If they didn't care, they would brush off the other's comments. (Like Sasuke does. Sasuke is emotionless.) The truth is (whether they know it or not), they are sensitive to what the other says and thinks of them. Everything goes straight to heart, and thus, the arguing.
After all, Kishi wouldn't show us all those arguments if there was no potential growth for SuiKa, right? ] |

I think I like the possibilities it has. It can be a violent, hateful relationship, but it could also develop into more of a caring relationship. Also, the mystery of why they hate each other so much is kinda intriguing.
Plus, the love/hate part of it reminds me of Zutara, which is my Atla OTP.

I finally get around to my explanation.. and it's 4AM. xD
Anyway.
I can't remember when I started to like SuiKa, but I know it wasn't long after Karin was introduced. If I had to guess.. it was when Karin ignored Suiggy's presence when he and Sasuke first arrived at her base. xD
Something attracted me to this pairing right off the bat, but I honestly don't know what.
I normally don't go for hate-love pairings, because a girl falling for a guy she always hated and beat up is something I am NOT a very big fan of.
Maybe it's because SuiKa is just.. different. Their past is a mystery, and why they hate each other is another mystery. Their entire relationship is one big mystery, and I love mysteries. I like to guess and be surprised. SuiKa isn't your average hate-love pairing.. probably because they both hate each other so much.. or do they? ;3
And of course there's the smex potential. 83 -Shot- You cannot deny it~ Anger and hate makes for the best smex. whee -Nuke'd-
Another reason I like the pairing so much is because I love both Suigetsu and Karin, and I find their interaction to be the most interesting interaction out of everyone in Hebi. You got Suigetsu's smartass comments, Karin's continuous insults.. ah. I love it. <3
If I've missed anything, you guys have said it. heart I just love everything about SuiKa, and I really hope Kishimoto expands more on their relationship, but even if he doesn't.. hey, there's always fandom.

At first, I wasn't really looking for a new pairing to like...I was satisfied with SasuSaku.
And then I saw the SuiKa thread in the SasuSaku guild. I immediately went back to read the chapters where Team Hebi had been introduced and I thought it sounded good. I still wasn't much of a fan though.
After reading the fanfic that Iia wrote, looking at some fanart, and thinking about it for a while it just gradually became one of my favorite pairings. It also helped to read why Iia and Kairi and a few other people liked SuiKa. It just all seemed to fit right.
It's not the normal kind of Love-Hate. They're not constantly trying to kill eachother and they're not giving deathglares. It's just the small comments that make them hate eachother. I think it's the funniest Love-Hate I've ever seen.

In the beginning, I was oblvious to this pairing.It just didn't click on me at all.The SuiKa fandom is extremly calm, and small.That's one reason why I like SuiKa.There are alot less conflict between fandoms.
I'm all for the Love-Hate pairings now.The orgin of their past is unknown, and that what makes it a mystery.How did they come to hate each other so much?XD Their constant teasing one another is hilarious.They hate each other so much, but they still stick around together.I think that can be easily explained, though.
All-in-all, I just like the pairing.It's a fresh, and fun pairing I suppose.

Okay, they're not rightfully MINE but...
This is also what I get for neglecting this thread... >>:
Just to pick out a few... the originality of the Hate-Love situation. It's definately one of the main reasons. It creates humorous situations, and of course, the mystery of WHY they're like this with each other. Did they have contact in the past? Or are they just like this because they can?
It's one of the things, that until I find out the answers to, the series will never be complete for me.
The humor it provides is definately a plus. I mean, I don't know HOW we would make a paring out of it if they didn't react in the way they do to the comments. I think I mentioned that above but...
And, of course, the potential. They have the attention, and they seem to know each other. And at times you're better off marrying someone you knew for a long time...
And as for how I got into it... the SasuSaku guild. xD
After seeing the board, I realized it actually does have potential. I'm usually oblivious to everything but the cannon pairings, and I was never one to go reading pairing essays and bias myself, but if it wasn't for Iia and Kairi, I honestly wouldn't have ever even known about the paring.

Ignoring the fact I repeated myself in there at times, and I didn't exactly stay true to the 'some' statement, that's basically why I like it. xD

Hm.
Firstly because it's love-hate. And everyone knows that love-hate=love.
Secondly, it's because I want to see how things will turn out if they ever had more interactions. I still think that though it's a bit unclear on how everything's going to turn out, I still want to see something between them.
Thirdly, I'd like to keep Karin off Sasuke. Though SasuKarin crack is good, too much is bad for my health.

The 'stupid animal' thing seemed like Suigetsu had planned it. Idunno. They pay so much attention to each other, but claim to hate each other.
