Nal Hutta was one the capital of the Hutt Empire and has become so again. It was almost destroyed during the Vong war and was entirely changed by Vongforming, but the Hutt have once more resettled the planet and have used it's change to their advantage. They have restarting their mining operations creating huge cities that fill the sky with smog once again, and have cut down the vong lifeforms and use them in various things. They also now export the deadly species the vong left behind and use them as pets like rancors.

Nal Hutta is once more a haven for scum and slime like the Hutts and their servants and Nar Shadaar the moon that orbits around the planet is once more the Smuggler's Moon if a bit more dangerous than it was before. If one thing can be said for Hutts they can generally turn something to their advantage. There are still patches of bog and marshland, as well as vongformed areas making Nal Hutta a very diverse world, one that can even draw tourists these days ones that wish to see what happened to planets during the war in a 'safe' environment.

Hana wandered the streets of Nal Hutta, avoiding the main streets as the Hutts tended to pick up small children to work the mines for them. The mines were not something she'd like to see in her lifetime. The other homeless wandered aimlessly by as those who were more fortunate ignored them. Hana steered clear of both kinds. To the other homeless she was competition, especially with her sweet looking face. She could turn the charm on very easily and was watched by those that did not have the fortune of looks. The everyday people saw her as a grubby 'thing' and chose to ignore her exsistence until such time as she bugged one of them. Hana felt lonely, more lonely than she had in a while. She missed the hum and drone of her father's ship and the smell of oil and spare parts. She turned down an alleyway, just to get out of the crowds of people.

Darman felt slightly hollow inside like a true darmanda one who had lost his soul. He had to resign as Mandalore and leave his people in another's care and this tore his soul to shreds. This was the curse of being Mandalorian and also being a Force User for he knew that it was for the best for him to leave for a while. The Force was as vague and cryptic as ever not telling him things exactly just showing him glimpses and so he left to become a bounty hunter/mercenary again. If his people should need him once more he would rise to their cause but for now he needed to find a new purpose.

He was not alone though, his elite body guard had left with him, wishing to continue keeping him safe and he could not deny his brothers. So it was that the twenty three of them had left Mandalore with nothing more than a heavily modified carrier shuttle modified to be crewed by them alone and given heavy weaponry and shielding as well as an upgraded hyperdrive, increased cargo space and size; one Stathas-class freighter, their war basilisks, Wing-Blast Rocket Packs, Lagartoz War Dragons, two Canderous-class assault tanks, Shadow V Combat Airspeeders, personal weaponry and miscellaneous items, and their personal space ships which are all bes'uliik the pride of Mandalore, their quad lasers and extreme armor and agility made with the Vespine made them deadlier than any Stealth-X, and also in the cargo was Darman's personal spaceship the Kyr'galaar (heavily modified star viper attack platform) one he had worked long and hard on with his friend Mys’tll (bio is pending, need a lot of work on it) the Vespine that was his closest friend and who was learning the ways of Mandalorian from him.

At the thought of his friend he gazes out of his peripheral vision and sees his friend wearing crusader mandalorian armor of the older design with spikes and more insectiod helmet, all but disguising his race as another mando'ade. This brought a private smile to Darman's lips for no one could see beneath his helmet, he clicks open the subvocal channel to the others through his buy'ce "alright spread out and look for work, and whatever you do don't get scammed, this place is a cesspool of scum don't let them dirty your armor." he hefts his Mythosaur Axe, the large blade fanning out which gave him a large path ahead of him as people generally don't want to mess with a mandalorian, let alone one who is carrying an axe with a head that is the size of his body. "Happy hunting vode." with that he clicks the link closed and walks through the streets his body covered in mandalorian armor with weaponry and a jet pack showing he doubted any one would try anything stupid with him.

After several minutes of working his way to a well known Hutt bar he slips from the crowd and into a back alley keeping his t-shaped visor on the groups of people, he just needed a break from the 'press' even though not many were willing to get close to him, being this near to so many shabla slaves, those who'd give up their freedom and let their spirits be crushed made him sick. He really hated dealing with Hutt's but sometimes there was no other alternative, or all other choices were even less appealing.

A shreik of indignation fled from Hana's lips. In a corner of the alleyway a group of older boys were taunting a small creature. She was usually quiet and kept a low profile, but for some reason today she felt pushed to speak up.
"Echuta, shag!" Where an eight year old learnt such words would always be a mystery to the elder boys, but it certainly got their attention. "Leave the animal alone." They looked mad.
"Who's gonna stop us sleemo?"
"Me." The boys laughed.
"Looks like we got something new to play with." As they neared the light she saw their faces. they were rich kids. She knew their type, they were too rich for their own good and came to the slums for their own personal entertainment. Away from the watchful eyes of their parents. It made her even more angry.
"Come on guys, she's just a little bum girl, let's go." One of them was reluctant.
"Oh, so you're happy to pick on a little animal, but a little girl isn't the same?" She had a smart mouth.
"Shut up Gleer, no-one's going to miss her." They had surrounded her, but she was beyond caring. She drew her vibroknife from her pocket.
"Echuta." She dived for the nearest one, her knife flashing. She sliced his cheek, leaving a numbing sensation running through his jaw.
"Shi, she go' a niphe!" He said, with a stunned look in his eyes. The circle tightened on her. She realised now that she had no hope f survivng. She gave a small sigh of resignation, it was inevitable, but she wasn't going to go down without a fight.

hearing sounds of a scuffle and a small voice yelling out expletives it should not have known Darman feeling more curious than anything went deeper into the alleyway. What he came upon even with everything he had seen in his lifetime both shocked and disgusted him. A small girl was fending off several bigger older boys with a knife. Their intent was clear which made Darman's heart harden towards the boys and his grip tighten on his axe. He took one step forward then stopped noticing that the girl was holding her own and had wounded one of the boys, he would not force his help upon her unless she needed it. She was very impressive for one so small, a tiny ball of fury with that small knife "fierfrek, she is ori'atin."

She felt herself get pushed from behind, Hana was no expert, but she was used to being pushed around by others when food handouts were made. She used the momentum from that to help her punch the nearest availiable person very hard, while following through with her little knife. There was a scream and blood splashed the ground as a small wound opened in one of the boy's stomach. It was then that they scarpered. For some reason Hana felt even more angry.
"SHAGS!" She screamed at their retreating backs. "ECHUTA!!!!" She felt cheated, she was ready to die and they took that away from her. The impulse to cry filled her. She realised she couldn't, she hadn't had that much water over the past few days. She went over towards the little animal that she had rescued and realised it was a small jawa child. She turned around and noticed the tall man. She looked at him wide eyed.
"It's a baby."

he watched her fight off the boys very impressed by her actions, and then she went to help the creature that had apparently been the focus of their anger before her. He let his axe slide off his shoulder the broad head digging into the ground before he nods towards her "very well done ad'ika, tell me what do you plan on doing now? How will you tend for what you have protected?"

The man had called her by a funny name. He also asked a difficult question. She looked down at the little Jawa, there was blood on it. She bent down to touch it. "It's not moving." She poked it as gently as an eight year old could poke anything. It didn't move, it didn't make a sound. Hana knew what that meant. "It's dead." She wanted to shrug it off, like she did averything else, but she couldn't. A sense of injustice filled her, she had tried to help, but she made no difference at all. A large lump filled her throat. She felt like running, but she couldn't, she was transfixed by the sight of the dead Jawa.

he feels a lump in his throat at her discovery but now was not the time for tears. She was strong, but this was a lot for one so young to endure, and he slowly approached her so as not to startle her and rested one hand on her shoulder "sometimes, no matter how hard we try, things will always end a certain way. You did your best at'ika and I am sure that the spirit of the jawa is appreciative. For it is still around Nu kyr'adyc, shi taab'echaaj'la. You must move on and find another reason to fight and others to protect." he gives her shoulder a gentle squeeze "come, take what you must and do with the remains as you see fit. I would like to know more about you ad'ika perhaps some food is in order and maybe some time for you to mourn."

Her eyes were blank as she stood and went with the man, carrying the small body of the baby Jawa she had tried to save. She vaguely heard mention of food and so she went willingly. "You speak funny."

he smiles slightly to himself "have you ever heard of mandalorian's ad'ika?" he reaches down with his free hand and puts the axe once more on his shoulder "so what has made one with your fiery spirit live among these shabla aruetiise?"
PostPosted: Sat Jun 23, 2007 6:19 am

She followed along with him, her mind trying to decipher what he was saying. "The Blanderlorrins? What are they? what's an A-ticker? Why do you keep calling me that, i'm a Hana." She tried to remember an exact reason why she was here and looked down at the baby in her arms. "Daddy died, he was like the baby, he wouldn't move, the big Hutt shot him and took my home and i had to run or i'd go into the mines and i didn't want to go down there. I'm afraid of the dark." Simple child logic had kept her alive.

he felt himself grow very 'focused' at her words "do you know which Hutt killed your father ad'ika? Do you know where your home is now?" he forced himself to calm slightly as he looked down at her through his visor "Mandalorians are my people, we are mercenaries and warriors, trained from either birth or around your age to become strong. We are travelers and bounty hunters, but most importantly we are family. There is nothing I would not do for my vode, and ad'ika means little one in our language. I am sorry for your loss Hana, I will see what I can do to rectify it Ha'ika." his eyes were narrow slits behind his visor, that some shabla Hutt would have destroyed this little girls world did not surprise him but he would see justice done.

She shrugged. "Don't all Hutts look the same?" It was one of the things that her father told her many times. "He was big and he was yellow on the belly and green, he had a scar on his eye. He said that he would take my home and give it to a more betterer smuggler than Dad." Her brows narrowed. "Don't get any ideas mister, that Hutt is mine."

he nods "well then you will need a better weapon if kar'oya 'kari gihaal." he releases her shoulder and draws out a blaster pistol "have you ever fired one before?" he notices they are growing closer to the end of the alleyway "and do you know where to find the Hutt that killed your father?"
