Mag Bike Rules and Structure


Everyone has 140 points to build their starter bike; there are racial modifiers and ability modifiers. On the mag bike there are 5 stats, four of the stats represent the bike while one stat represents your skill with the bike. Every stat will effect your racing, and how well you do on each section of the course. You can recieve more stat points or move around current points for your bike through winning races, getting a mechanic, buying enchants and/or enhancements.

The Track

Round: Two rounds make up a section of the track; they represent you going into the section and out of the section of the track. Each round you roll one 20 sided die, at the end of the Section you take the average of the two to get your base score for that section.
-Each round has Speed modifiers which will either increase or decrease your speed.
-Each round has a Magnet Power requirement for your bike to stay on the track. If you miss this requirement by 10 or more you loose control of your bike.
-You will add your Skill modifier, Place Setting, and your Speed modifier to your base score to get your total score for that section.

Section: Each track is made of a number of section, and there is a placing set for the number of racers each Section. The one in first place recieves the highest place setting, and the one who comes in last recieves a 1 place setting. This number is added to your base score for the following section.
-Every Section has a designated type; Straight Away, Left Slant, Right Slant, Spiral, Barrel, Loop, Upside down, Vertical, Drop, and Side to Side.
-The final score is replaced by a place setting at the end of each Section.

The Bike:

Power: This is the power of your engine, it feeds your accelerator for speed and your magnet core for control on the course. Your power stat can be divided amoung your accelerator or your magnet core. It is up to you to choose how much power goes to each part. These changes take place during the next round, not the current round you acivate the changes.

Speed: Speed is the acceleration rate and your top speed of your bike. Speed affects your placing each round, and the amount of your speed is modified by the courses Section modifiers.

Weight: Weight is either added or subtracted from your magnet power depending on the round and the track. There are racial modifiers that will increase this stat, which will be listed below.
- Drops, Straight Away, Barrel; adds Weight to Magnet power.
- Spirals, Slants; adds half the Weight to Magnet power
- Side to Side, Loops; subract half the Weight from Magnet power
- Vertical, Upside Down; subtracts the Weight from Magnet power

Magnet Power: This is your lively hood, and keeps your bike on the track. You must meet the required Magnet Power rate each round to keep your bike on the track. Magnet power can be adjusted as needed just like your Power. You can decrease the power of your magnet, and increase your speed. For every 10 you decrease your magnet power you increase your speed by 10. This only works with actual Magnet power, not increased power that you get due to adjusting your Power. However, this can be dangerous, depending on what type of track you are on.

Skill: This is your characters skill with a Mag Bike, this affects how well you can drive. Meaning you can only modify your Power, or Magnet power by your skill stat. Also your skill stat is added to your base section score to determine your placing in that section. Your skill can be increased by racial abilities. All humans get a +10 to this stat.

Human/Newtype/Hirenswat
0 - Child/Undereight
5 - Average
10 - Overweight

Cyborg
15 - Less than 1/2 of the body is synthetic
20 - More then 1/2 of the body is synthetic

Andriod/PEDCOM
25 - Comercial
30 - Battle

Neko/Elvish
5 - Child
10 - Average
15 - Large


Racial Ability Modifiers

- Abilities that could adjust the Skill of a mag bike racer give a modifier depending on if it is a Primary or Secondary.
- Secondary Abilities give +5 to Skill
- Primary Abilities give +10 to Skill
- If you wish to see if you get a Racial Ability Modifier please send me a PM and we'll work it out. I havent completely worked out this section of the Mag Bike Racing Rules.
