Just like the title says, who's your favourite character?
Give some reasons for why you like the character, and have fun.
Please don't burden those who don't like the character and don't bash characters. It's okay if you say you don't like them, but don't be like:
"OMGOMGOMGOGM I DON'T LIKE KIRIHARA HE'S DUMB N UGLY N IWISHHEWOULDDIE."
This thread basically follows the same rules as the basic guild forum.

My two ABSOLUTE favorite characters are as follows.
Ohtori Choutarou, because the moment I saw him, I thought, I like him. It's just, something that happened. He is so cool, and the whole, one shot to the soul thing really got me. And then when I saw Date Kouji I knew it was love at first sight! xDD
Kirihara Akaya, because we were born on the same day. Nothing more to say. And when I really play tennis, I kinda play like him, 'cept I don't hurt anyone....sometimes. xDD

As I already said in the introduction thread, my favourite character is probably Taka. He's so mild-mannered and adorably shy without his racket, and then he goes into BURNING MODE and goes absolutely INSANE. I also like him because he has a somewhat believable life outside of tennis, unlike most other Prince of Tennis characters... ^^;; Plus, he's aspiring to be a sushi chef. How cool is that? heart
On Seigaku, I also like Fuji, because he is the devil. That, and some of the things he says and does remind me eerily of myself - right down to the fact that I actually like wasabi, if it's a small amount. Expect I'm not as evil and have more of a temper. And I really, really like to ramble. Can you see Fuji get hyper and have a Shinji moment? I think not. Anyways. Fuji is awesome because I have a fetish for characters that won't stop smiling and are clearly evil underneath their friendly exterior.
Jirou is another of my favourites, because he is cute and cuddly and I wanna pet his hair. His personality is adorable and I love his enthusiasm. Seriously, though - that kid is just like an excited puppy, except I don't really like dogs all that much so he'd have to be a kitten. A fluffy kitten. I bet he's secretly evil too. ninja
But there's MORE! I also like Atobe, because he's so full of himself, Sengoku, because he's just plain awesome and Mizuki, because that purple floral-pattern shirt was sooo gay.
I'll spare you the fangirling I'd be sure to engage in if I were to talk about Kirihara, but he's one of my favourites as well. In fact, he's my favourite character right after Taka, because he's like that rabid puppy that will chew off your hand when you try to pet it, but you do it anyways because it might be evil, but it's also so cuddly that you can't resist petting it. And the way he randomly changed his ways in the anime was sort of cute I guess. So much for not wanting to go into fangirl mode...
...gods. I ramble, and ramble, and ramble... o.o

My top favorite character would have to be Shinji Ibu because he reminds me so much of myself except when I go hyper and laugh maniacly randomly... twisted
And then I like Oishi because he also reminds me of myself. I laughed my a** off when he slapped Eiji. "That's too insensitive."

My favorite is Fuji~~ <333 I love him because he's so calm and collected, and his eyes are always closed so it always looks like he's smiling! And... In tennis, he's a beast. ;o I also like Atobe because in the Tenipuri episodes, it's so cute when he comes up, and he's all chibi, and the crowd's like, "Atobe! Atobe! Atobe!" Eeeeh!!!

I have to many faves but like ive said my top fave is Tezuka and i just seem to like how he is with the others not really showing much emotion but more than Kabaji lol. I love how Tezuka plays he's beautiful and talented and i think left handed people are kinda sexy *snickers* gomen i couldnt resist its like the guy in my signature the best TEZUKA EVER!
Others i like are from other teams i have three faves in Rikkai Dai, about 5 from Hyoutei i like, about 3-4 from Fudomine i like and yes that included you Kamio-kun, three i like from Rokkaku Chuu and about three from St Rudolph but i must say love the Fuji brothers and the Kisarazu twins its shocking they have the same guy playing both roles in the musical

My favorite character is Echizen Ryoma, however Karupin and Tezuka come in verry close. (warning: everything here contains spoilers, for...well, everything. ^^; wink
Ryoma is amazing. I love his snark, and how he's rebellious and contradictory of himself sometimes. It's just...amazing. And then to see the fire when Tezuka first defeats him, it's utter...guh. I love when he tells his buchou that he'll take the pillar away. I love how he just rises and rises but has time to look down and smile and be, well, friendly, in his own bratty way, to his classmates. I love his unknowing charisma, the stuff that made even Tezuka look up to him (sort of) and listen to his comments and advice. I love his pure dedication and one-trackedness. He's just: eat, tennis, sleep, tennis, Karupin, tennis, kick asses, tennis, beat buchou, tennis, beat oyaji, tennis, Karupin, Karupin, Karupin, Karupin, sleep with Karupin *______*. It's really funny and totally him. Most of all, I love his voice. xD Also: LEFTYYYY! I'm a lefty, so I appreciate lefties muchly. ^.^ They're awesome.
I love Karupin's teasing of Nanjiroh in the anime. I love how he's the only one that can really break down Ryoma's barriers--it's obvious that Ryoma likes his cat pretty much more than tennis. And that's intense. (oh, and following Ryoma to school/the pregnancy. *________________*)
Tezuka is a block of wood, but is so very complex, if you know what I mean. He's got this charisma--it's like his Zone. He's a magnet, and that's reflected in his tennis moves. Even the zero-shiki rolls back--towards him. Everyone that he looks at, touches--they're obsessed with him. I love how selfless he is--he sacrificed his arm for his team, just to bring them that much closer to the Nationals. Tezuka's the kind of guy that really cares, even though he never, ever shows it. (and again, lefty.)
Kin-chan (Tooyama Kintarou, I believe) is one of them, as well (my favorite from Shitenhouji). He's just so...bouncy. I love his 'YOROSHIKU! YOROSHIKUUUU!' when meeting...I think it was either Ryoma or Horio's cousin guy. xD I also really love his tennis moves. xDDD Like the, um. Super ultra mega something something something big-wheeled tasty mountain...something. xDD;;
I have two favorite characters in Hyoutei. They're Jirou and Kabaji.
I love Jiroh. He's like a genius, and always so upbeat. Even when he loses, he's never asleep. He knows how to be optimistic, and appreciate every loss, because it teaches or gives him something. He's strangely wise, no matter how much he sleeps. It's just...awesome.
Kabaji is wonderful. He doesn't have much of a personality, I admit, but can you imagine someone with that much devotion? He's so dedicated to what he does that it's scary. And he's important. No one ever says so outright, but he is. After all, where would ore-sama/Hyoutei be without their favorite copy genius?
In Fudoumine, I love Shinji, Tachibana, Kamio.
Shinji...well. I ramble almost as much as he does (anyone notice yet?), and what he says really does make sense sometimes. It seems so random, but his mumbles are very endearing, and I would give a lot to see the world the way he does.
Kamio's really very fast and I love how he never gave up against Sengoku, and kept on going. I loved his dedication--I guess it's something I like from characters, because Kaidoh, Kabaji, Ryoma, Kin-chan, and Tezuka all have lots of it.
Tachibana...well. He's nearly as selfless as Tezuka, and plays so fair. I don't know how he does it. It's simply amazing, and I really admire what he does.
Yamabuki...well, there's Dan. The ultimate fanboy. I love him, as well. The way he's always trying to learn something, the 'desu' he says after every sentence in such a squeaky voice, and his devotion (xDD I told you...) desu!
From SeiRyuu, I like Mizuki and Fuji Yuuta. Mizuki is just so...nfu! And I love him for it. He's happy being himself, conceited, and evil. What's more to want?
Yuuta has dedication (-bricked-), skill, and really looks up to his brother, deep down inside, even though he'd rather die than admit it. I like how he actually listens to everyone and is so sympathetic. Yuuta cares a lot, and he'd be a very good brother to have--I envy Yumiko and Fuji (plus he's a lefty. xD).
Hm, what elsee...Jyousei!
I like the Tanaka-tachi. They're so in synch with each other, and they look so cute. xDD Uh..I like their eyes. Yeah. xDD
From Rokkaku is Saeki. Him and Dabide. Saeki is so nice, he's sorta like the big-brother type and he really would pay attention to what you say. He has a lot of friends, and I believe he has wonderful judgement. I love Saeki.
Dabide has awesome puns. 8D He's just...unafraid to declare his love for dorkiness, and that's why I love Rokkaku and him so much. Dorkiness is their signature, and I really appreciate his uniqueness--no one else has such a long racket!
Higa has Kite Eishirou. He's just so evil, and wants to get to the top, no matter what. He's dedicated, however sinister, and I think he really does learn a lesson from Tezuka.
My favorite female is An-chan. She's so defensive of her older brother, and she's got real spunk and personality. I love it.
My favorite coach is a tie between Banji and Ojii-san. Strange how I just love the odd ones, hm?
Banji is...ah, Banji. He annoys Nanjiroh so well, and he's so freaking creepy! But underneath that, he's really wise and persuasive. It's cool.
Ojii-san...well. I love how he stole soda from Ryoma and never paid back. And his volleyball skillz0rz...xDDDDD -dies- He makes an awesome, thin Santa, and I don't know how he stays (in)sane. I love his racket-making skills, as well. I'm sure they're appreciated by many, and Rokkaku has just been organized so well--applause to him!
Honorable mentions would go to the Kisarazu twins. Atsushi's ribbon (and curtsy! xD) and Ryou's hair...they're just. xDDD
Yanagisawa also gets one. DUCKS FOR THE WIN.
Mm...Inui deserves a honorable mention. He's just so nerdily awesome and I love his pi and juice and...inui-ness. That, and he's so smart that he doesn't realize that he really stands out when trying to stalk anyone. xD I also love the way Tezuka hangs up on him all the time. I feel sorry sometimes, but. xDDDD
...yeah, I could write things like these all day if I wanted.
But I guess those're my main favorites. xDD
I really shouldn't ramble so much. xP

Hm...I think from here, it's...well, everyone except for Jackal is my favorite Rikkai person. crying ;; This'll take forever. (no wonder I forgot. xDD; wink
Yukimura is first. I love how he's so strong, even in the hospital. I love how he remains an inspiration and obsession to his entire team the whole way through. I love his gentle voice, the one that is somehow one of the most powerful in the series despite his shaky looks.
Sanada goes next. He's just really stoic and I love how he centers around only a few people--Atobe, Tezuka, Yukimura, Fuji, and Ryoma (the last two only as a close one xD). I like how he's so caring to Kirihara. It's just...wonderful. (oh, and it's really fun when he asks Yukimura to do his homework. Even the emperor can get flustered!)
Yanagi is amazing. I love how he first thought of data tennis. I love his combination with Inui--and how he manages to stay on both his and Inui's sides at once. He's a true genius, not just of Fuji's type.
Yagyuu is next. I love both his characters--anime and manga. And, well, the myu, too, but. xDD He's so polite and works so well. He's amazingly talented and almost a perfectionist. I like when he works in conjunction with...um, Kaidoh, I think, in order to trick the other team. He's veryvery clever, and I just love his eyes. xD
Niou is a lovely trickster. I like his myu actor's voice--I mean, puri! ^.^ He's so clever, and he knows it, and he flaunts it almost without caring. He's amazing. I don't have enough words to describe it.
Marui is...Marui. I love his gummm. He's just really awesome, too, and only Jiroh can capture that. I like how he has next to no stamina and needs all his sugar--sugar is awesome. =D I like his tricks with the net, and yeah. CAKE! *_*
Last, but (DEFINITELY) not least, Kirihara Akaya-san. He's beautifully...him. As someone (I can't remember who/where) said, he is Rikkai's baby demon elf. He's amazingly evil, and I lovehow he looks like Mizuki but is nothing like him--except, of course, that he's utterly evil. I like his Bloodshot, and I find that I really sympathize with his need to be the best. I love how he can be gentle (...okay, not gentle, gentle, but more...sinister-ish gentle? Iunno) and amazingly fierce at the same time. (Props for being otou-chan-sama's lover/twin. ^.~) He places higher than the rest of his team. xD But just for that.
I'M SO SORRY, OTOU-SAMAAAAAAAAA.
