Here is your basic guide to roleplaying. If you have any further questions, just ask in this thread! Someone will need to pretty up this post eventually. :<

BASICS
    • Roleplaying in ToA is done in third person past tense. That means something akin to "Bod drew his sword and charged at the monster." rather than "I drew my sword..." or "He draws his sword..."

    • Please spellcheck and comb your posts for typos and other mistakes. However, if you do make a mistake you're not going to get in trouble.

    • Ask in the Seeking a Scene thread or the main thread to find someone to RP with!

    • If you have more than two characters, establish a posting order!!! This is very important to avoid confusion. So if John, Suzy and Mary are all in one thread, discuss somewhere (this thread, the main thread, Seeking a Scene, OOC Discussion and Commentary, PMs, etc.) who is going to go when. For instance, establish that Mary posts first, then John, then Suzy, then it goes back to Mary. Talk to your RP partners before breaking the order.

GUIDELINES
    • Please label the topics as follows: [ORP] Scene Title - Characters or [RRP] Scene Title - Character. For instance, [PRP] Bad Pudding-chan! - Cleph/Piraya.

    • [ORP] stands for Open RP. When you start a thread, anyone can enter until you edit the title again to...

•[PRP] which stands for Private RP. You can only enter these scenes with express permission from the person who started it.

    • No godmoding or powergaming. Don't overpower your character, though with the system in place we shouldn't need to worry about this.

    • Your character isn't clairvoyant or omnipresent, so even if you as a player know something, your character may not. Know the difference between OOC and IC information and respect the other characters' secrets.

DICE
    • You will find the dice rolling option under the drop-down menu "Action" above the box you are typing in. (This description will get more detail soon.)

    • Please be sure to accompany any and all dice rolling with a narrative description of what's happening! The dice won't do your work for you.
