Another pathetic attempt at helping this guild become more active....

Wheeeeee! I'm getting a new bike soon and with that, I can actually go out and have fun like I used to.... I remember how much less body fat I had then because I was always on my bike pulling stunts (and my thighs were toned baby!). Ah but it's not that I'm fat now (although the BMI chart said I was "obese"). gonk The bike I was eyeing at K-Mart is awesome--I can't describe it, but I have the feeling--a stong feeling--that this bike is the one for me! 3nodding

So guilders,
-You getting something new soon?
-What will you do with it?
-Does the BMI chart suck a lot?

I really wanted to bike but I can't really afford anything! I don't think I've ever gotten a BMI either. But I'm extremely self-conscious so I tend to avoid having to weight myself. >_>;;

My parents does the exact same thing! My mother especially says those things often. My family, including extended family, are like just the same and are pretty nit picky about appearances - especially for females. My uncle even said to me, "You should grow long hair like your mother. Smart women have long hair." I was just sort of shocked that he would say that as if I was a little child who would believe it! My mom says that it's just in Vietnamese culture to say things like that, whatever is on their mind, and it's nothing personal. But being from Americanized and from a different generation, I can't help but feel hurt by it. :/

... your parents are not nice people. XP Thankfully I never got much of that stuff. I got a BMI done in 7th and 8th grade at health-fairs, I've always been underweight. I think I inherited my grandpa's insane metabolism, because I don't really exercise, even, except walking. When I DO exercise, I lose weight. And, in the case of Hair rehearsals, my appetite. By the end of tech week, I looked like I was in Auschwitz: The Musical. It was pretty horrible, but I just didn't feel hungry at ALL.

But, uh... new things? Yes! I'm looking forward to Halloween, of all things -- that means costume improvements, maybe a new cape. (I am OBSESSIVE about Halloween.) Also I really want to buy that Extensively Revised edition of The True History...
