Has anyone noticed a sudden increase in threads concerning the "indigo children?" Occasionally, this is coupled with fairy tales of world destruction in 2012, but most of the time it seems like the OP is just talking about how awesome these kids with magic powers are and how they are one of them.

Oh, but you can't identify these children with these magical powers. Not at all. The way you can tell if someone is magical isn't by whether or not they are shooting fire from their hands, but by seeing if they are adequately described by vague, generic personality traits shared by a great majority of adolescents (like "resists authority," WOO HOO! A teen who resists authority? MUST BE MAGIC!)

Seriously. The list of qualities that alleged indigo children have are so generalized that they might as well be the personality type for people born under the Serpentarius sign.

Offtopic: Why the hell did they kick Serpentarius out of the zodiac anyway? Serpentarius sounds a hell of a lot cooler than CANCER.

Ugh, I've noticed the threads too. At least they haven't brought up "crystal children" yet. They are the sequel to indigo children apparently, with just as many bs personality traits.

When would there be Serpentarius? I was born under Cancer.
And the personality traits do seem to encompass the vast majority of rebellious teens. It seems like another excuse for dumbasses to make themselves out to be special by saying they have magical powers. Just like with new-age paganism and therians.

Serpentarius is late November to mid December, I think.

So my brother.

Cancer is 'aight. I could have done worse than a crab.

I think I have heard the believers call children with A.D.D. misdiagnosed and that they are really Indigo Children. Or I could be mixing up my pseudosciences...

So just another case of people who think they are extra special when they are really just short bus special.

I wonder how magical they will feel when they are bagging my groceries or writing reports in an office somewhere to make sombody else rich?

To be honest, I really haven't heard that much about these "Indigo Children."

But yeah, it sounds like a real load. If your particular belief system involves assigning magical attributes to otherwise normal personality traits, then that belief may as well be listed in the BS Hall of Fame.

You might be interested in Indigo Prophecy (a.k.a. Fahrenheit); it's based highly on Mayan Indigo mythology. Not to mention it's a great psycho thriller.

People have serious problems, but they want to avoid the "big-bad medicine companies" and the "evil money-grubbing doctors." That's typically the pattern when it comes to these kind of beliefs.

I feel sad for the children involved. The level of irresponsibly on the parents part is astounding.

The "good ending" of that game ******** sucked. Of course I was never able to save his brother so I don't know if there might have been a better one.

Indeed; the sudden introduction of unnecessary story elements and the ridiculous Matrix-slash-DBZ-style fight scenes during the last third or so turned it from an introspective look at emotional insanity into somewhat of a cheesy sci-fi action thriller.

But I sincerely enjoyed the first two thirds - delving into each character's mind, taking part in their daily routines, trying to keep the main character from losing his mind entirely - it's not something you normally see in video games these days.

And I believe you're right in thinking that there could have been more to the ending. Of course, the director said somewhere that he wanted to keep the game short to retain its replay value. It's still a great game, but I think I would have had much more incentive to play it again if the plot hadn't turned to liquid s**t during the last few chapters.
