As I went to college this Tuesday of this week, and everybody was required to fill what political ideology they were, religion, and so one. Also please put name on them. Along with other private things on the survey as well. When did colleges do this?

I had to do something similar, it was explained to us that it was merely for data collection and that we didn't *have* to put our names on it.

REDGallenger I had to do something similar, it was explained to us that it was merely for data collection and that we didn't *have* to put our names on it. The thing is our student ID was already on it, so putting your names on it is useless to start with and remaining anonymous is untrue. They asked a lot political question, I doubt that was to better help, "you" in college. More like a profile for others to know.

I never had to fill out anything like that... although I have been known to put such information on my Facebook page, just for people to reference. Makes life easier.

I had the same thing, but what does it matter? I've never heard of the results ever having a purpose, and I'm none to worried about a new era of McCarthyism running lose on us.

Steven Hawkings Lady Merewyn I never had to fill out anything like that... although I have been known to put such information on my Facebook page, just for people to reference. Makes life easier. Well I don't see the revlence if you are a virgin or not or been a victim of a hate crime. Well, the "virgin or not" questions could be relevant in the promotion of health information on issues such as STDs. One could use surveys to determine what areas colleges should be focusing on to best support their student populations. Or it could just be an elaborate cover. No matter.

Although this doesen't seem like too much of an issue seeing as you could just lie if you felt uncomfortable with admitting what you really are, I never would've imagined they're actually allowed to do that sort of thing.

Monsieur Rosebud Hawkings, what college is this? I havent ever had to do anything like that Bridgewater State. It's a good school, just this among promoting religion was quite odd to me. Tank if your out there want to hang up a Stalin picture were Jesus was in the church?

True though I find it suspicious since most things like health and stuff would be filled out in the forums and other things.

True on that part....I just wonder who reads these things.
