Anyone objecting against pod casting?

Turn G-Radio into podcast. That way you make a show, upload it and then post it on the website.

We still have the community and I BELIEVE no licensing issues. I will check on that.

Lets start thinking about making a community other then Radio. smile

Podcasting
Blogging
Myspace/Friendster Clone
HotorNot Clone
etc

I can do just about it all we just need an idea.

G Radio's awesome as a radio station, making it a podcast would get rid of some stuff like the chat, being able to request and have contests during the show.

Ok let me stop anyone from posting "save the radio" posts.

Radio fees = $500+ to make the station legal. Which is mandatory.

Unless you personally are going to fund it. Please don't post "save the radio" posts/threads.

True, I'm just saying I don't think podcasting's the way to get the listener count up

Well what were looking at now is a whole new TYPE of community. Instead of a internet radio community, we would have a "____________" community.

What I gave were just suggestions.

SO IF YOU HAVE A SUGGESTION YOU SHOULD POST IT NOW.

Hopefully that should get everyone's attention. lol.

Subbie's Big Text

Personally, Live365 has some nice broadcasting packages and are overall cheaper than the 500/m - 2600/y packages by the American Government and it's terrible agencies. But even if we did consider going with keeping G-Radio alive by using Live365, it would still cost a hefty price.

Packages go for 25-85/m.

And that's a bit of money, eh?

A good idea is to; see who is going to help support G-Radio with donations here.

DJ's/Listeners overall.

Because frankly, the station will need support to be kept afloat, my donations will not keep this station afloat, nor will Subbie's efforts.

So, basically I'm inquiring who out of everyone is willing to fork over donations to help the station.

Tiki Says:

I personally don't like this idea. The viewer count is bound to decrease even less. Not everyone has an iPod, including myself. The chat where everyone hangs out will cease to exist and we'll all just "think" about downloading the newest Podcast, but shove it off. I honestly can't think of any other suggestions besides going back to the radio. Only let people who can help pay, DJ. Most I can say.

Tiki's Verdict: Bad

I don't like podcasts..

They're impersonal and.. Blabbing into nothing without any listiner feedback wouldn't be any fun.

It's going to die as a radio AND a community.
You'll have ~3 listeners if you make it anything but a radio station.
And you can't even pay for that.

lol, Karma.
