Selecting the right wand can be the most essential influence upon what type of fey if born from it. The type of wood plays a crucial role in determining the type of demeanor your fey has, as well as what type of magic they will be the most effective in. First is the natrual element of the wand. These are the four we are all familar with. Earth, Wind, Fire, and Water. The type of element that the wand is most aligned with, will determine the basic nature of your fey.
Elements aside, there is a secondary attribute that all wands have, a focus of magic. In essence, certain types of wood are good for certain types of magic. Some woods are good at more then one kind of magic. When you select your wands wood you may pick (If there is more then one option) one of the focus's of magic, but you can have only one focus!
Quote:
Fire: Your fey is very bold. When it comes down to doing something dangerouse and potentially exciting, or the same old boring thing, this fey most often will choose the former. This fey will determin for themselves who they are, and is more prone to try to be the leader in most situations.
Quote:
Earth: Your fey is steadfast. If something doesn't work the first time, obviously you need to try again. When it comes to being a leader or a follower, your fey usually chooses to be neither and act as the mediator. When all is said and done, your fey wants what is said to be well done.
Quote:
Water: Your fey is aloof. Your fey is less concerned with what other folks think of them, and believes that others should be more interested in what this fey have to say about the rest. Whether something is right or wrong doesn't concern your fey, what matters is how they canuse it.
Quote:
Air: Your fey is secretive. Getting all the facts about your fey is like pulling teeth from a vampire. They simply don't want to give it all away. They will let you know only what they have to let you know, unless of course they decide to tease you with a bit more.
Quote:
Green Magic: Your fey's strength lies in healing magic and protection. Hex-Breakers and Healers are often what these fey are called. Counter Curses, Poison healing, wound healing, and wardings are only a few examples of the types of magic your fey will have a easier time grasping and casting.
Quote:
Fortune Magic: Spells that draw money and luck tend to be the sort this fey is more gifted at. Finders are what these fey are sometimes called, for their good fortune in finding lost items, whether or not it was theirs to begin with or not.
Quote:
Moon Magic: Divination and illusion magic are the strongest talents of your fey. Being able to read someones fortune is often times a very hard magic to control, but fey with a focus of moon magic have a bit of a easier time with it.
Quote:
Sun Magic: Pure Raw POWER! And Love....oddly these two magics appear to have a lot of connections. A fey with the focus of Sun magic finds casting love spells a snap, as well as helping to ease grieving hearts when they want to be charitable. Not to mention the fact that any spell that has the word 'boom' or 'devestation' in it tends to have a lot more oomph when cast by this fey!
Quote:
Star Magic: A uncertain magic at best, Star magic doesn't so much as use the fey, as the fey uses it. Star magic relies upon the emotions of the caster to power it, and give it shape. Wish granting is often the term given to Star Magic, though it is the magic that decides how a wish is answered, and not the fey itself. Ever hear the term 'Careful what you wish for'? Star magic is completly benign and some even think it may be sentient for there are times when it actually refuses to grant what is being asked for.
Quote:
Soul Magic: Creepy is a term usually used for those who are gifted with Soul Magic. This type of magic allows the fey to call up spirits of the departed for various reasons. Usually this is a magic shunned by most fey and looked down upon because the act of useing this magic rips the spirit from the plane where they belong and in essence enslaves them to the will of this fey.
Quote:
Elemental Magic: The name in essence says it all. This fey's powers tend to come easier when dealing with the raw elements or calling for elementals to do their bidding. With their power stretched out over all four elements they don't really seem to excell as much as other fey do in their foci, but due to the fact elemental magic is the hardest to master, they definatly have a easier time of it then the rest.
