I just finished The End of Poverty, The World is Flat, Freakonomics, and is about to start The Tipping Point.
what did you think about the first three, esp End of Poverty? Do you think what Sachs suggests is reasonable?
i have never taken macro economics and although what he says seems reasonable, I kind of feel i dont know enough.
I'm taking micro econ next term (because macro isnt offered) but i doubt that would clear my understanding.

I have to say that the best book for understanding many topics in economics is The Worldly Philosophers as it touches bases on a great number of economists and explains their views in a pretty simple to read book. Freakonomics was okay, but overall, economics scared me a bit. This book helped put that monster into perspective.
