From the first time Yusuke fired his spirit gun, to the first time Hiei and Kurama showed up, this is for the firsts.
I have to go with the first time Kurama changed into the Youko. That or the first time Hiei used his Black Dragon.

For some reason, whenever I think about my early days as a YYH fan, the first thing that comes to mind is the first ending (by which I mean when the credits roll.) So, I would have to say that is my favorite first. Out of all the endings that one is my favorite, but it is also symbolic for the first saga, which I love, where we are just meeting everyone and things are starting to come together. I know there is the first opening, but the endings are more distinct from each other.
Yes, I know it's a strange thing to pick, but whenever I see that ending, I'm reminded of the memories from back in the day when I used to watch YYH on CN, beginning my love for the show. I wasn't even a Hiei fangirl yet. ^^

Another one of my favorites is when we see Puu for the first time. I was watching that episode last night and I sent me into a fit of giggles. Everyone's reactions to him was just priceless. ^^

My first would be hearing all the awesome voice actors as the characters. Like Chuck Huber and Justin Cook. They really are good; their talents helped with all the action sceens.

My favorite first is probably Hiei's first contact with Yukina. ^-^ (In Tarukane's place.) I liked that part in the anime and in the manga.
In the anime, his reaction was so funny and obvious. She probably thought he was weird. >> (I would if somebody looked at me like that.)
And in the manga, the way he beat the s**t out of Tarukane made it pretty obvious that he was attatched to Yukina in some way or another.
Anyway, I think it was pretty interesting to see Hiei acting like that. ^-^ I just can't believe that she didn't take the hint. ._.;; (Even though I'm pretty sure that she guessed his identity later on in the series.)

My favorite first is when Kurama and Hiei can't help but laugh at Yusuke still being a total dork after dying a second time! heart Hiei's first laugh! lol let's start his baby book! wink
