I want to know if people think Hiei should tell Yukina he's her long, lost twin brother.

I would actually prefer it if he did not tell her. My reasoning behind that is similar to the reason why I usually don't like characters finding love lives: they just get in the way. As much as I like Yukina, she would simply get in the way too often, as she would want to spend time with Hiei and all that crap. I think Hiei taking on a more brotherly role would make him less interesting. I've read fanfiction where she knows about Hiei and, for some reason, it just puts me out of the story. I like Yukina, I really do, but when I think about her character versus Hiei's, I don't like the mental image I get about what their relationship would be like. It seems too dull.
Besides, it was Hiei's own choice, and however questionable the logic behind it may be, I respect it. Plus, he seems happy with the way things are, and if Hiei's happy than that's good enough reason for me.

For me, if he did that'd be okay, and if he didn't, that be okay too.
I read fanfiction where they pull it off nicely, and I not quite sure she'd get in the way any more then she already did. I mean, Hiei's already done a lot to ensure her safety and the only bad really thing that could come from her knowing, I think, is enemies finding out. And that could happen anyway.
But, I can understand Hiei not wanting to tell her, and if put in the same position I don't think I would either.
And as a viewer I agree with you, Hiei would be less interesting if he tried to get in brotherly role. The few moments between them are cute and sweet, but if I had to watch stuff like that between them all the time Hiei would lose something to me.

But if that happened, the anime would get wayy to "lovey-dovey" with the brother-sister relationship Dx

I don't think he should. Sure, It'd be cute, but the results would be really un YYH-like. Too girly and mushy. Besides, Hiei probably wouldn't want Yukina to know that her brother did so many bad things. Not to mention that Yukina might be in danger if many more people knew about it. It's not like they had a really close brother-sister bond for that too.

Nekoei You all, you let the guild die!! I don't really think it's anyone's fault. It's been happening to both guilds for a long time, though the one at Neopets seems to be fairing a little better.

Speaking purely as a viewer, I would have to say no... for all of the aforementioned reasons of previous posters. It would not work with the story.
Speaking from my heart, however, I think he is hurting himself and Yukina much more by not telling her than he would if he told her.

 My heart is closed up and I feel it crumbling down...
Mmm, this is a tough one for me 'cause I really feel for Yukina and she really wants to find her brother. I think it's sadistic of Hiei to keep the information from her, but, at the end of the manga, she settled down in human world with Kuwabara and his dad and she seemed fine.
So, while I sympathize with Yukina, I think Hiei did the right thing. They weren't in a close brother-sister relationship before and she's proved that she can live without her brother, right?
So I say, if he were to have told her, that'd be fine, but I think I prefer him not telling her.
