Continuation of Previous RP:
721 Red Rock Grove

-------------------------

Day 4
Evening/Night

------------------------

Bright crimson was leaking into the dark blue hues of the sky as the sun began to set.

Parking on the outskirts of the resort, Christopher jumped out of his car and promptly locked it before he darted off near the woods. However, a thought occured to the wolf man before he entered. 'You should really go to his cabin and try to pick up his scent before you diving in head first into those woods.'

Chris, knowing his thoughts were right, creeped to the back of the cabins. Ad he approached, Christopher noticed many new, strange scents of others at the resort, particularly one coming from his cabin. He had to supress a growl though and focus because it was no longer his cabin, and Erik needed to be found. Reaching the back of the cabin, Christopher snuck in through the unlocked back door and went into the back bedroom, sorting through Erik's belongings and sniffing.

Eventually the wolf man got a strong sense of the smell he would be looking for, indicated by his tail stiffening up. Now with a lead, Christopher wandered out the back door and traversed into the lumbering, dark woods. He sniffed at the air as he entered but could hardly pick up on Erik's scent, it most likely being too faint and the other smells of the forest filling his canine nose.

Sighing, Chris pushed forward and continued to try and find a lead with his nose as head hung low, staring down at the ground. Soon, that familiar melancholy tune that usually plagued his dreams filled his mind once more. It was going to be a long night and he knew it.

"Eeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrriiiiiiiiiiiiiiik!!!!!!!" howled out Christopher, hoping that might help attract the young teen's attention or stir him a little. "Please come out!"

Nearly 100 ft away from Chris' position, Erik, or what was left of him, lumbered through the forest underbrush on all fours, his hands now functioning as paws. It seemed that Erik's sanity had gone down the drain, leaving behind a brutish inhuman creature currently possessed by all of the pent-up rage held within the boy all those years.

Suddenly, the creature stopped, pausing to process a scent he was picking up, it seemed...familiar. He was temporarily locked in a state of semi-thought, only to be snapped out of it by a piercing yell. "Erik", the word held no meaning to him, nothing but another possible threat announcing it's presence. In instinctive self-defensive, Erik reared up on his hind legs and announced his presence in the form of a harmoniously twisted blend of a human shriek and an animalistic roar.

Christopher froze in place as he heard the shriek with confused tone, a blend of human and animal. His tail becoming fully erect and his eyes open wide, the wolf man trembled as he realized what or who it was but did not want to accept the notion immediately. However, it was confirmed by the Erik's scent growing stronger suddenly as whatever it was russled through the shrubbery towards him.

'No, no, no!' Christopher's mind screamed as he gripped his head. 'This can't be!! This is just like my ******** dream!!!'

He collapsed to his knees and wept silently to himself, dreading what would happen next. Erik was feral, just like in his nightmare, and he knew he might have to actually kill him in order to save himself. A wave of naseau hit Chris and he spewed bile all over the dirt ground around him. After wiping his mouth with a quaking hand, an idea slowly formed in Christopher's mind. The wolf man pondered using his howls to communicate with the feral Erik.

Swallowing deeply, praying internally that this approach would work, Christopher let out a long and loud howl that expressed dominance yet inviting the other to his company, but to watch his ground. Chris waited on his knees, keeping a lookout with his eyes and ears, perspiration running down his furry brow.

The call did not go unanswered, as a figure slowly made it's out of the brush. Erik walked on all fours, although he still had normal arms and hands (aside from the claws and small pawpads). His torso seemed thicker, stockier, a bit more muscular. His legs were also toned, complete with claws instead of toes, and a tan, white-tipped furry tail could be seen coming out of a hole in his ripped-up jeans. All that could be made out of his head in the darkness was his thick, strawberry-blond hair.

He cautiously trotted his way towards Chris' position until he came within a yard's distance of him. Pausing for a moment, the creature stood up on it's slightly digitigrade feet, a bit hunched, revealing it's face. Pointed ears, a little larger than before, stuck out through his hair, twitching, picking up every sound they could hear. Cold, emotionless, red eyes stared forward, their slitted pupils watching Christopher's every move. What was most striking, and perhaps most unnerving, laid below a slightly blacked nose. Sharp fangs lined the creature's open, panting mouth in place of normal human teeth. If the smell of coppery blood in the air wasn't obvious enough for Chris, the (still dripping) blood on Erik's teeth and around his mouth would be a dead giveaway as to what he had been up to in the past 24 hours.

Upon the sight of the heavily transformed Erik, Chris just wanted to breakdown and scream seeing what had become of the teen. Not only had the transformation progressed, but it was obvious just how far the runaway's mind was gone... and the horrible stench of blood was all over him.

But the wolf man kept his calm in as stable a manner as possible, putting himself onto his hands and knees. He slowly crawled forward, trying to keep up a dominant yet welcome appearance with his tail and demeanor. Pausing a moment, Christopher uttered, "It's me little brother. Don't you remember me? It's Chris... The weirdo obssessed with wolves."

Christopher gave a weak smile and waited to see his reaction, hoping it might do some good. It was difficult to keep a straight face, seeing such drastic of a change and that strong aroma of blood making him want to grimace. But the wolf man just held in there and kept on high alert, trying to anticipate Erik's move.

Erik simply just stood there, the words just bouncing off his skull. The only reaction Chris got out of him was Erik sticking his tongue out to lick off some of the blood around his mouth.

Christopher frowned and began to grow impatient. He was no longer sure what to do, some tears running down his face and muzzle. What followed from the wolf man was a very sad, low howl expressing his desperation to make his 'little brother' remember him. As he let out this majestic cry, Chris tried to use it to say, "Erik, it's me... It's Christopher. Don't you remember me? Don't you remember your brother? Please wake up, snap out of this..."

However, as much as he tried to communicate with the howling plea, the wolf man doubted it would have much effect at all. That's when Christopher noticed something hanging out of the pockets of boy's tattered pants. It looked to be a picture of someone... Squinting his eyes, Christopher could just barely make out the outline of a frail old woman.

'Is that...' Chris began to think to himself with a ray of hope growing. '...It has to be her.'

Christopher slowly advanced towards Erik, who was still busy licking blood off himself, on his hands and knees. When he was close enough, the wolf man reached out a clawwed hand and lightly tugged the picture out of the pocket. Gazing down at it, Chris affirmed his notion. 'Yep, that's his grandma alright.'

"Erik, look at this," said Christopher as he raised the picture into the feral teen's view.

The picture was of no importance to Erik in his current, savage state, and all that registered in his primal mind was that his personal space had been invaded. He was about to lunge at the wolf man when something clicked within him. He paused right in his tracks, his arms lowering as he approached to get a better look at the photo. He quickly snatched the picture and jumped back, and turned around to get some privacy.

A few moments later, he turned his head around to face Chris. His eyes were normal-looking, aside from the red in them. His mouth, previously curled in a snarl, was now closed in a whimper.

Christopher was almost a little too quick to go to comfort Erik, until he pulled back from his instinctual actions and instead straight into the teen's eyes. After the feral way the teen had been behaving, Chris knew better than to just run up and hug him just because he now looked saddened. He waited a moment, making sure he could see the boy he knew underneath, before he finally said cautiously, "...Erik? Is that you?"

Not moving, the wolf man waited for a reply before he did anything else.

As suddenly as he had before, Erik went back into feral mode, standing up and holding the photo tightly to his chest. Letting out another freaking roar/scream, he dashed off into the woods with surprising speed.

"Aw, s**t!" Christopher cursed out in a growling manner as he gave chase to the feral Erik. Following closely, the wolf man tried to keep up with the wild teen as much as possible. Eventually, Chris became anxious to detain Erik and pounced forward in an attempt to land on him and pin him in place.

He howled out, in hopes it would scare the teen away from any sudden movements, "DON'T MOVE OR I'LL MAKE YOU REGRET IT!!!"

Unfortunately for Chris, he just missed Erik's ankle, and before vanishing into the bushes, Erik turned around and let out a warning snarl.

Falling flat on his face, Christopher cursed and growled under his breath, his jaw smashing against a fallen tree stump. By the time the wolfman had gazed up, the feral Erik was out of sight. Chris threw his arms up in the air and began to punch the ground in frustration, snarling as he did so. "s**t!!! Goddamnit!!!!"

He then soon stood on his feet and continued to persue, although he knew it would be in vain. Charging desperately through the forest, the wolfman Chris followed after Erik, still trying to use his scent as a tracking method. However, soon Christopher was deep into the forest, the smell was weak at this point and he was tired. He collapsed to the ground on his knees and inhaled deeply to catch his breath. At that moment, he wanted to let out a very feral cry of his own and go insane. He had lost complete track of the teenage boy who had turned feral so quick.

"...There's no hope..." Christopher uttered under his breath. "The dream is real."

Bing couldn't sleep. Partly because of this newfound energy that made him twitch at times, partly because of all the howls and roars in the air were hard to ignore with ears as big as his.

Least he's been lucky that they were the only changes he had to experience. He's been laying low lately, taking everyone's advice of staying away from civilization if he could help it. It was hard, to somehow convince Mr. Stanz that he needed the cabin for a few months now, Bing had said something about a "Storm of inspiration" from the landscape, or something, and He wanted to draw more.

Though the cabin was still open to him, the lure of the outdoors kept him outside longer, until it came to the point where he could only sleep in the forest, the feeling was weird at first, but with time, he got used to it, like everything else. At the very least he was thankful that he hasn't changed as much as many of the others he's met.

"Ugh..." Bing groaned, his head was pounding from the noise.

He called out, "If anyone I know is here, couldya keep it down?"

Christopher, collapsed on the ground, perked his head up a little as he heard a very familiar voice. Turning around slightly in the direction of the words, the wolf man slowly stood and made his way towards whoever it was, all the while thinking to himself, 'I know he's one of the people who has changed, but what was his name again?'

He didn't have to wonder long as he soon saw the big earred Bing laying on the ground. Looking down at him, an emotionally exasperated Chris asked, "Bing? What are you doing here...?"
