Meh.....<.< There are so many odd pairings out there.
For Yuri...I'm not so sure, Yaoi....well.....I like random pairings at times.....sometimes there are some I so absolutely hate......Heero and Duo would not go well together, they're personalities are just not compatible, I never see those two in a yaoi pairing.
Lol. I think it's BECAUSE they are complete opposites that they would do well together. They'd keep each other in check. As they say, opposites attract. And who can be more opposite besides Heero and Duo. Besides, they relate to each other more than you think. They are both orphans, pilots. They both hide behind emotional, or non emotional, masks. They both have something in their pasts that they regret (Heero with the little girl and her dog, Duo and the people in the church he couldn't save).
Not to mention that Duo, being the jokester he is, gets on Heero's nerves a lot, and is probably the one that brings out Heero's emotions the most (I mean come on, when have you not seen Duo with a gun pointed at his head because of Heero).
And don't even say that Heero loves Relena. My view on that is that he views her only as a friend. In his mind Relena symbolizes innocence. She is a beakon of hope for him in times of doubt. Her innocence helps him to continue to fight, because he know what he's fighting for. But even with this, he still could not relate to her as much as Duo could to him.
Anyways, sorry if I seem overreactive, I probably am. But it's just what I believe. Though I respect your point of view.
