ALSO POSTED IN GAU. REPOSTED FOR HERE FOR REFERENCE.

OK, now the Fundies are really starting to scare the living shitsticks out of me. Probably because I happen to live in the state these nutjobs have targeted for invasion.

Christian Exodus is a website is run by Cory Burnell, leader of a group of hyperconservative, "persecuted" Christians who are apparently planning to populate South Carolina and secede from the union.

It's another one of those groups run by people who interpret "freedom of religion" to mean "freedom to impose my religion on you and everyone else whether you like it or not."

While they claim to be operating under their Constitutional rights, their mission seems to be a cleverly disguised quest to follow Donald Rumsfeld, Rick Santorum, and many others in their attempts to promote the use of the Constitution for target practice and, ultimately, as a good old-fashioned roll of Puritan toilet paper.

I honestly hope this turns out to be nothing more than a clever work of satire. But, given the fact that there are many people who do think like this, the chances aren't very good.

I remember hearing about this (or at least something like this) a while back. It's completely satire-proof. Christians, the religious majority, claiming persecution. Hilarious.

Is there are any hope that all the fundies will gather in South Carolina and basically suck the venom out of the US when they secede?

I think they actually plan to spread out once they secure a firm home base. So that would mean more venom going in.

What sickens me the most about this maneuver is that while they claim to be fighting for their Constitutional rights, most of their mission seems to revolve around getting most of it repealed. As far as I know, this includes the slavery ban, women's suffrage, the repeal of prohibition, and several more.

It's an ironic endeavor to get your rights by destroying everyone else's.

And if an earthquake or hurricane struck once they all moved in...who would be to blame?

Gays and liberals, naturally. And tolerant people.

Who cares? It's South Carolina.
Besides, I live in Canada. The only separatists we have to worry about are Quebecois and the only thing our current Prime Minister ever did right was somehow pit them against each other.

Let the fundies have their own state. Just wait until they declare holy war and then nuke the ******** any of this seems unusually abrasive I am drunk right now.

I heard about this a long time ago. I think Bikinii Atoll would be a better place for them to gather.
