I, personally have a wide variety of tastes. Vanessa Carlton, Shedaisy, Avril Lavigne (not so keen on her lates album though), Jeff Buckley, Evanescence, Lacuna Coil... the list goes on... and on. I notice I tend to like some of those obscure things, like, pour example, Vanessa and Shedaisy.

I like Vanessa Carlton, Avril Lavigne (though I have to agree on her latest album...), Nickelback, and... well, give me a song and I'll tell you if I like it or not. xd
More often than not, I like them.

Rock(including J-rock), metal, and....pop(including J-pop), lol. (Haha, I'm so contradicting. Well, I guess I'm not as contradicting as my friend.) And out of the bands listed so far I like Evanescence.

Wow, I listen to so much different kinda of music I dunno if I can post it all. Fly Leaf, Evanescence, Lacuna Coil, Nickelback, Evans Blue, Seether, The Ataris, Apocalyptica, Flogging Molly, ZOX, Maarilyn Manson, Sum 41, Simple Plan, Hinder...
I like pretty much everything but country, rap, and some emo music...

Let's take a look at my iTunes top 25 most played, and see what I like:
a whole bunch of Stephen Sondheim musicals, some My Chemical Romance, some techno, a tiny bit of D, a bit of 12012, some Bowling for Soup, some Alkaline Trio. I also like Fall Out Boy, the Dresden Dolls, Yellowcard, and a few songs by Cute is What We Aim for. Oh, and I'm currently interested in the musical Grey Gardens.
