TIPS & TRICK

FISHING PROBLEMS:

[TBA]

TECHNICAL PROBLEMS:

1. You can do some multi-tasking while fishing, using seperate windows to post and browse like usual without disturbing the game.
2. If the activity of your computer starts to slow-down in your last game, close down other operating browsers and audio programs. Also try to reboot/restart the computer, before starting another one, to prevent unexpected technical error during your next game.
3. Screencap your bucket before you do your last catch, so you have somekind of prove if some glitches happened.
4. Do some browsing to make sure that you're actually still on-line, specially for those with dial-up or unstable connections, before you start doing your last throw in a game, since it will automatically exit and save by itself before uploading the data to the server. If you're not connected, you might risk not getting the data saved properly.
5. It seems the only place you couldn't visit during the game is the fishing store.

General Error

The fishing store is closed to customers who are currently fishing.

If you currently have a fishing game open, please click the "Save & Quit" button
in the upper left corner to quit your game, and save any catches you have made.

If you do not have the fishing game currently open, and would like to continue into the fishing store, Click Here to override this setting. WARNING :: If you click to continue, any catches you have in any open games (in any browser) will be lost.

A fish I caught. smile

Well, the rarest fish I've caught are the trout, but I've got a bunch of tips that people can use...

General
1. Junk gets less common as nighttime rolls around
2. Unless in Durem, use F-class bait for a regular profit on fish
3. A basic rod is the best, it has no weaknesses in any ranges
4. Even junk gets stronger if you fish in harder areas
5. Stretching a fish to the limits of the line can be good, eventually the moves can be predicatble
6. Fish are stronger at dusk, and less stronger near midnight
7. Keeping the sound on slowls the game slightly, giving you more time to concentrate when a fish is hooked
8. Don't just sway from left to right, moving your mouse up and down can increase and decrease the power that you reel and the activity of the fish

Bass'Ken
1. Fish with a basic rod
2. Junk is more common, this is an easier area

Gambino
1. Fish with a basic rod
2. Trout are more common when the time nears noon

Durem
1. Unless upgraded, don't use basic
2. Even tin cans can be hard to catch, this can be a good place to train if you don't have a short fuse
3. Just because it's hard dosen't mean all the rare fish are in here

Oh, and Pinkclover, the fish that you have on the list are the buying prices, cut them in half and that's what you can sel them for at the store. In other words, it's much like buying and selling blothing back to a Gaia store, you can make more from selling it at the marketplace.

Ok, we will need help from everybody to make this fishing guide to be really complete, so if anyone could help me getting any of these images, it would be very helpful. (Do we have any screencaps maniacs here? Fellow mods? biggrin )

Fishing Map:
@ Pictures of the three fishing maps in three different times (9pics).
@ Pictures of the headers of your fishing windows of the three maps (the one with your avatar fishing background) in three different times (9pics)

I want to connect and make those into something like this one, for each fishing map(with the arrows) and each headers(without the arrows):
User Image
Or maybe someone could help making these three maps for us? *hints* wink xd
If there are 3 members each submiting different headers, we could use those headers and your avatar will be permanently featured on our fishing map's headers! xd

Fishing Rod:
@ Pictures of all fishing rods, including the upgraded ones. The inventory version, and your fishing windows which shows the big fishing rods with their red lines (8x2=16pics)

The Fish:
@ Pictures that contains your predictions of each fish's movements inside the red lines (any fishing rod's red lines). You could use MSpaint or photoshop to draw the fish's movement (in color other than red).
@ Pictures when you caught the fish. The one that said: "Alright! You caught..." of each fish (and junks xd )

Please post your pictures in here, and I'll save them into our servers before using them in this guide.

All helps will be credited, so please use your own screencaps and not simply taking from other people's threads. 3nodding

Thanks ahead. biggrin
(can you believe it's 4 am in here, and instead of sleeping, I'm still busy setting these up? xp )
