Along with following all of Gaia’s and the Ghosteria shops rules, when interacting with Kyuu I request you follow these specific rules as well.
1. If you wish to drop off a gift or arrange a play date, I would prefer it if you were to P.M. me instead of posting in Kyuu’s will. It would make my life so much easier if I didn’t have random people posting things.
2. Kyuu is not for sale, and neither will any children she may have in the future. If I hear that people are turning her into a baby maker just so they can have a Ghosteria character…. Well… I won’t be happy.
3. Kyuu’s personality and background are NOT to be ripped off. If you want to use something from her past life in your own Ghosteria concept, please contact me first.
4. Generally, just use common sense, and you won’t have any problems.

In her past life, Kyuu was primarily the nine-tailed fox demon commonly known as the Kyuubi, who also was known as the elemental god of fire in the Japanese Legend of the Tailed Beasts.
In the ancient Japan, according to the legend, each elemental god was sealed into an elemental shrine. Out of the nine Bijuu, or demons, that took part in the great Bijuu war, only five of them were elemental gods, those being Shukaku, of the Wind; Kyuubi, of Fire; Isonade, of Water; Raijuu, of Lightning, and Kaku of Earth.
In the Legend of the Tailed Beasts, the five elemental gods were sealed with instruments called “The Tools of Power”. Whilst not all of the tools are known, and their translation may vary, they often, if not always take on the form of some kind of container, such as a kettle, prison or alter.
The “Tools of Power” descend from the “Eight Immortals” from the Chinese mythology. They’re deities who transfer their individual energy to each “Tool of Power”, that is able to give life or destroy evil. Together, the eight tools are called "Covert Eight Immortals"; Even though only five appear in the Legend, and it may be a varied version of it. The Immortals are: Immortal Woman He (He Xiangu), Royal Uncle Cao (Cao Guojiu), Iron-crutch Li (Li Tieguai), Lan Caihe, Lü Dongbin, Philosopher Han Xiang (Han Xiang Zi), Elder Zhang Guo and Zhongli Quan.
There were respective shrines dedicated to these elemental Bijuu scattered through Japan’s territory, being the Fire shrine the strongest. Though, the shines keep releasing spiritual energy even while the Bijuu are sealed within sleeping, and this power from the five shrines goes to the Five-Tails: Houkou.
After Yamata no Orochi got the legendary sword Kusanagi no Tsurugi from the Kusanagi Clan, it defeated Nekomata and Houkou.
Yamata no Orochi then proceeded to release a tremendous amount of dark power to awaken the five elemental Bijuu, that were sealed in the five shrines, with the purpose of bringing chaos between worlds.
It ended up fighting the one deserving of the title “King of Bijuu”: Kyuubi no Youko. It has an unending amount of chakra, and because of that, Yamata no Orochi was defeated.
Kyuu’s story is a somewhat twisted version of the original tale. It takes place a short time after the battle between Kyuubi no Youko and Yamata no Orochi, and whilst in legend the Kyuubi is portrayed with a limitless amount of chakra, I have instead made it into an extremely large amount, as opposed to limitless.
It was shortly after the fight between himself and Yamato no Orochi, that Kyuubi began his reign of panic amongst the villages of Japan. The kitsune, with his scathing, sadistic personality, found amusement in the destruction and general chaos that he caused. However, whilst destroying villages was amusing, it was not the reason in which the demon travels the land. In truth, Kyuubi sought the one who awakened him from his slumber, along with the one who had managed to seal him once before.
Eventually, the villages banded together combining their ninja, samurai and all other warriors into one large army, in order to confront the demon. It was a hard battle, with many loses for the mortals, until an unnamed shinobi seal the demon inside the body of a dying child. The child, who had been wounded during the battle, suffered from incurable injuries. The men, knowing that if they were to seal the demon inside the child would combine the two so that when the child died the demon did as well, took action, and in the end, when the child died, the demon died with it.
Kyuu is a combination of the Kyuubi and this child. Inside her lie two conflicting personalities, one of an innocent naïve child, the other of the cold and cruel yokai.

Personality: Haikari’s normal and most commonly seen personality, her own, is that of a bumbling idiot. She has a rather low attention span, tending to stay interested in things for only five or ten minutes. The only exception to this is when she is around children, plants or animals. This is due to a sort of built in need to protect almost everything she sees, a trait that remained with her for her entire life. Due to her low attention span, Haikari spent her younger years in a special education school with very few children. This has caused her to be very self conscious in large crowds, and remains so until she has begun to feel comfortable with those people.

Likes: Her vast stuffed animal collection, acting like an idiot, people who are blunt and to the point, small children, animals and plants.

The more violent of Haikari’s alter egos, Imadriel is cruel, sadistic and temperamental. It’s easy to see how she got her name, which means ‘Dangerous Beauty’ in her native tongue. Another aspect of this particular alter ego that some are not aware of is the fact that she is the mother of a pair of twins.

Haikari’s voice of reason, Haikirdra is calm, collected and sometimes a little moody. Much more patient than her sister, Haikirdra thinks her actions through before she acts a trait she has been trying to get Haikari to pick up through the years. Unfortunately the girl isn’t very bright, and has yet to manage to pick up on half the things the elder woman has been trying to teach her.

He is a well known merchant, and whilst some of his traits are less than desirable, he continues to be extremely successful. He is also the elder brother of Keita.

The childish Kyuu hardly takes on many of the traits of the monstrous demon she had been during her life, instead taking on a much more child-like attitude and generally good natured way.
