Within these last two months (May and April), I have gotten the chance to purchase and play two incredible games for the Wii.
The first one being Super Paper Mario, which is all the fun of a platformer, mixed with screen turning, rpg, and paper-like aspects. Now, it's not terribly long (around 40 hours, which went quick for me) as far as the main story goes, but there are tons of different side quests and places to explore to keep you occupied for many more hours to come.
The second game I had gotten to play was Mario Party 8, which is another great addition to the obviously long running Mario Party series. There are tons of creative mini-games that each require the use of the Wiimote. After you get passed the file selection screen, you'll be introduced to The Star Carnival, where you can select the Party Tent (for your typical party board mode, where you can play on the party boards with your friends or the computer), the Star Battle Arena (where you go to all of the boards and face 1 computer opponent on each one in order to unlock various things within the game), the Minigame Tent (where you can play all of the minigames that you have unlocked throughout your playing of Mario Party 8 ), the Extras Zone(where you can play various extra minigames with either MP8 characters or your very own Mii's), and the Fun Bazaar (where you can buy and view new items, options, and figures). Well, to prevent this from being any longer, this is a great game to pick up for the Wii, and it's a great game to play with friends.
