Straight from Reason: Hit and Run. I'm too tired to even get worked up about what the conspiracy theorists are saying about this, so I am avoiding their responses until I can get some sleep. Expect commentary from me later.

(I have lost sleep just thinking about how idiotic the man behind Time Cube Theory is. So I make it a general rule to avoid CTs and pseudo-scientists until I get a good amount of rest.)

Dude could have got arrested for harassing. I mean it is quite obvious he was pestering the guy and as far as I know they can request you be escorted from the building. The Press Pass gives you access to places, it doesn't mean you can pester people.

That said, I think is a conspiracy theory with 9/11, but I don't know all it's details so I'd rather not have my argument torn apart, especially since all I have are suppositions and intuition.

Just heard the reporters talk about this on Coast to Coast AM. The reporter was a guest of CNN and had a legit, credentialed press pass. The reporter was charged with criminal trespassing. He was bailed out with 400 dollars and his hearing is July 3rd.

Oh great. Another soapbox for the truthers to stand on and another story for Alex Jones to blow out of proportion. They really have to stop handing press passes to bloggers. Especially ones with dubious sources and debunked claims.

Someone really needs to make an "Alex Jones Watch" site, because he has been given a free ride for far too long.

Um, just because someone has a different way of thinking, that doesn't mean the freedom of press shouldn't be extended to them. I would really like to know who told Rudy that the towers were going down. He said someone told him that in an interview and these guys were trying to get more information on that. This was held in a public place. This guy was thrown out and arrested because someone else complained and he was falsely accused of trespassing.

I really don't care how wrong Alex Jones has been in the past. This event now, that I know the back story, it angers me to no end. This is definitely an ACLU suit in the making.

Odd. I thought was quite obvious that this in not a matter of thinking differently, but a matter of them going through the wrong channels and being uncivil. My whole point is that they do not gain attention through having facts and reporting, they do it by causing trouble.

The questions the reporter was asking were complete lunacy. If someone came to a media room and started asking me questions under a false premise, I would have him removed from the place, too. What kind of mental problems could the man have if he thinks the government was behind every terrorist action? These are risks I would not want to take if I was a politico.

But let's look at how Alex Jones' and his minions work. Because they are the last people you want to go to for first hand accounts of events involving them.

Alex Jones and Google Video
------------------------------------
1) Alex Jones tells his readers to spam and mass-up-vote his videos on Google.
2) Google Video catches wind of the spamming and deletes the videos because they are against the T.o.S..
3) Alex Jones then complains and calls "censorship" on Google Video, even though it is not censorship. The deletions have nothing to do with the content of the videos, but with the fact that they are being rated through spam. Which is clearly against the T.o.S..
4) Google Video allows the videos back on the site after constant nagging and Alex Jones claims "victory," even though the only people they were fighting were themselves.

Alex Jones and Digg
------------------------------------
1) Alex Jones tells his readers to spam and mass-digg his articles on Digg.
2) Digg catches wind of the spamming and deletes the links because they are against the T.o.S..
3) Alex Jones then complains and calls "censorship" on Digg, even though it is not censorship. The deletions have nothing to do with the content of the links, but with the fact that they are being Dugg through spam. Which is clearly against the T.o.S..
4) Digg allows the links back on the site after constant nagging and Alex Jones claims "victory," even though the only people they were fighting were themselves.

I even remember the time CSPAN gave Alex Jones time. He's blew it and then complained.

And these are just the ones I witnessed first hand. This is how they work. They get attention under false pretenses, run with it and then claim otherwise. Would I have arrested him? No. But they must be happy as hell that they have another martyr for the B.S. laden 9/11 "Truth" Movement.

You're missing my point. You just described him as an internet troll. I'm one of those too. Been doing it for years.

Here is what happened. They have video of Rudy talking on NBC about how someone told him to get out of this one tower as it was getting ready to go down. Alex Jones and several others wonder how it fortunate that Rudy's people have this amazing ability of prognostication. His people are guests of CSPAN and go to a public forum and ask an underling of Rudy about this. Underling getting irate and demands proof. Proof is attempted to be provided, but underling calls the cops on reporter.

Freedom of Press is paramount in this day and age. I for one would like to know this answer to their question.

Besides they were arrested for Criminal Trespassing when they were there legitimately. Regardless of how much you hate Alex Jones and his gangland cronies, they are ones in the right here.

Alex Jones' is not an internet troll, he is a life troll with an agenda. And it's very clear that you do not know the back story of the events. He was not arrested for asking questions, he was arrested for disturbance. This is not the first time this has happened. They go and harass public officials all the time. That is why action was taken. The Jones' brigade being there is not an isolated incident.

Freedom of the Press does not cover harassment.

And don't make assumptions. I don't hate Alex Jones and his cronies, I hate their tactics.

It was a public forum in a town hall setting with the Press there. It's kinda naive for these people to assume that no one is going to ask a hard hitting question. He didn't really harass that fellow. Who was the first to raise his voice? Who kept a calm and level head?

I'd still like to know who told Rudy about the tower's eminent collapse.

In asking the "question," the "reporter" was accusing him of something in which he had nothing to do with. It was a very-thinly-veiled-loaded-question. It's a pointless question driven not by facts but by paranoia, sheer lunacy and an offensive question given the situation. Every single conspiracy theory regarding 9/11 has been throughly debunked and ruined (but the debunkers arguments are bogged down by facts and all sciency and stuff.) But if he were to answer the question, they would go back to their clan of conspiracy nuts and say "(Person X) lies about involvement." There is no winning with them. So why give them the time? You don't. And I will say it again, this is not an isolated incident.

This reminds me. I need to start questioning the government about the fairies that live in my backyard nonstop until I get an answer I want to hear (none of this ""what the hell are you talking about?" crap.) I'M JUST ASKING QUESTIONS! TOGETHER WE CAN FIND OUT THE TRUTH BEHIND THE FAIRIES. I DIDN'T CHOOSE THIS MISSION! IT'S CHOSE ME!
