Disgaea, Disgaea 2, Makai Kingdom, Phantom Brave, and La Pucelle.

Seriously, I've only heard of a few of those, but never played any of them. What are they like exactly?

They're all fun strategy games, and as for a description...
Exploding penguins, Succubi in strapless bikinis, demon overlords getting turned into books, walking corn, an angel in training trying to make freinds with every demon she meets, a demon slaying sister from a church that doesn't give a crap about the church, perverted frogs, a demon overlord that's scared of sexy women, zombies with "horse weiners", LOTS of character making & training options, and a maximum character level of 9999, with multiple endings for each game. Every "final boss" from the story mode is only level 90, BTW.
They're fuuuuuuuuun....

Makai Kingdom has robots as vehicle options, but I don't have any yet.
I've been playing La Pucelle all day, so now I have to add to my previous list...
Talking mushrooms, kitty pirates, a princess with MPD, accidental time travel, amnesia victims, a half-demon church father trying to take over the world, demon hairballs, a VERY bitchy fairy, a whale monster, dragon/mushroom crossbreeds, minor sibling violence, religious thick-headedness, puppy love, combination attacks, a demon hunter losing it and beating the snot out of a demon lord, and topless mermaids with spikey pool balls. (You can't see anything though, all the games are rated T.)

I have Makai Kingdom and have played Disgaea 2.
In fact, me and an online friend of mine RP Nippon Ichi almost all the time.
