my suggestion is instead of making a non school sub, how about be specific about it.
I.E mystical, older times, ect ect

A suggestion box would be a great idea (maybe this sticky could be renamed as a Suggestion Box), and a some sort of a sticky for announcing if you're going on a holiday or something. So that people will know if somebody goes on a holiday or someplace with no internet access.
Something that has the info of what character(s) is the person playing, what game(s) is he in and how long is he gonna be away. That way we don't have to always wonder.
