I've noticed many people wanted a shiny charizard or other shiny pokemon...I could get them all the shinies they wanted but the question is if it's really...ya know...right to hack for it...on the plus side- it makes people happy...on the downside, it's...well...HACKING. (I DO have a shiny charmander on my leafgreen...and I'd rather use the shiny cheat over the clone glitch...either way I'd get a shiny charmander...)
So what I'm asking is...if it'd be right to give them a hacked shiny charizard to make them happy (They'd be normal non hacked stats mind you...I enable a shiny cheat when I grab it from oak then could migrate them to diamond...)
Or...well...use dumb luck to get a shiny...
While I know hacking shinies are extremely wrong, personally on another hand, I think pokemon shouldn't have made it so hard to GET shinies in the first place, like legendaries. A 1/8124 chance to get a shiny? (more or less) You'd have a better chance of winning the first two-three powerball lottery numbers.

Well, the fact that they're hard to get is kind of the POINT. The idea is to have a different type of pokemon that's RARE. If eveyone just hacks them they become common and the VALUE of a shiny pokemon amounts to nothing.

thing is- people already hack for shinies...it reminds me of something I can't say on gaia sweatdrop but 'if someone doesn't offer them, they'll get it somewhere else.'

I think that it's okay. I think that as long as everything else is normal then the color of your pokemon doesn't really matter. I don't want shinies just to have them though. They're not really that important to me. I just like the way they look, well I like the way most of them work.size]

I think its fine, the way I see it, its the same as a guy hacking to get a Celebi. The only hacks I don't like ar insane move sets (charizard with surf) and hacked stats.

Its just a game. They bought it. It belongs to them. If having a non-legit shiney pokemon would make them happier ad help them enjoy their 40$ game more, more power to them.

well with a vote of 4-1 I guess it means I can complete leafgreen with my shiny charmander and get an infinite number of other shinies out of it... ^^;
