Today the GD died.
It is today what the Chatterbox was four years ago.
It's been a long time coming, but the GD is like an old friend, and it's sad to see it go.
But, I can't stand to just leave it behind completely, so I will put my most recent thread into this post...
So, I've got a minor heart condition that I am trying to rectify. My cradiologist said the simplest way would be to change my diet.
The first thing I did was add more protein and reduce fat.
The next thing was getting rid cornsyrup.
Next was getting rid of most preservatives.
Well, the regular grocery stores could not meet my needs.
I had to do one of the worst things I've ever done, and go to the hippie health store
There, I found a dazzling selection of things that fit my diet, and surpassed it. Of course, there was a bunch of nasty vegan crap, but most of the stuff actually seemed appetizing! One of the best things I found was bread. There was rye bread that was actually good, breads seasoned with unusual grains and berries, and one bread, the bread that was the most common kind before the age of preservatives.
It was Spelt bread. It tastes so good, it's firm and dense enough to actually spread things on, it has a beautiful yellow color and a sweet flavor.
But, alas, the store we ususally go to to get the bread was too far out of the way last time we ran out. So, my mom just went to Fry's and bought some Sarah Lee white bread.
It is so bitter and disgusting, it burns in the toaster, it rips when you try to put condements on it. We've even been eating foods with no chemicals in them so long that the normal bread made my mom's throat swell shut.

All the stuff I just said.
