Desired species Result: Um not sure, anthromorphic I guess, but stands at 3-4 foot tall.
Why this animal: Alex is a big rat lover, she had pet rats since she was little. Before her last two rats died Tom, her fiance convinced her to wait a while longer before getting any more. The huge cage taunted Alex for months, even after it had been dismantled and put into the attic. They have plans to get their own place and had moved into a 'no pets' rented accommodation to get closer to Tom's work, so Alex had to go without her precious fussbutts. Pet shops were agony when she saw their cute beady eyes peering out at her, it was hard to resist. Nor did it help that the local rescue had a huge group come in. Of course Alex couldn't offer any a home, as much as she wanted too, due to where they were living. It wasn't fair. Alex was also born on the year of the rat.
Appearance: Alex stands a tall 5 foot exactly, with long, shoulder length brown hair and brown eyes. She doesn't wear makeup unless going out on the tiles, but wears oval-shaped glasses that frames her round face. She is slightly overweight but it doesn't stop her from wearing low tops or tight jeans, which she seems to live in. Baggy jumpers (pullovers) are also a favourite of hers. She isn't the type to follow fashion (and sometimes it shows) so she'll wear whatever she feels comfortable in or what looks good on her.

Personality: Alex comes across as a friendly women as she gives people a warm smile. She's usually the first to start a conversation with a complete stranger and can be very chatty. She's comfortable with herself around people and open with her feelings, which unfortunately means she can be quite careless with what she says and has often put her foot in it. Sometimes she has appeared to be bossy and loud, but she insists it's because she has a strong personality.
Interest/Hobbies: The is often found yelling at the tv when her favourite quiz re-runs are on such classics as The Generation game, Catchphrase and the current running show, Deal or No Deal. She loves quizzes, even if she is no good at it and always takes place in the local pub quizzes with her best friend and sister. Her biggest interest is the paranormal, she loves mysteries relating to ghosts, big foot, UFOs and the like. Although not a great spiritual person, she always insists with having a dream catcher in her room regardless. She's a big fantasy book reader too.

History: Alex works full time in Tescos, a big chain store in the UK. She lives in Cardiff in Wales and has lived there for three years since she moved in with Tom. Her parents lives in Newport, with her younger brother, James, 18 years. Her older sister, Jessica lives in Kent, England and visits usually holidays such as Christmas. She's had a relatively normal upbringing with no major disasters. She has muttered once in a while that her life has been quite boring and straight forward. She hasn't got any plans to have children until they have settled down and bought their own home. (Although the way the house market and hiked mortgage prices that might be a long while yet)
Arrival: Alex and her fiance, Tom was supposed to be going to this Cape resort together. This was supposed to be the first part of their 6 week traveling holiday in America. That is until his mother decided to step in. She didn't like Alex and she made it obvious, hoping to push the women away. This time she didn't want her precious boy being away for 6 weeks. It wasn't like he still lived with her he was a grown man for Christ sake! Alex's soon to be husband! The old hag didn't need him, she was faking that sudden illness and weakness. Alex wasn't cold hearted, but she could see that this old biddy was putting it on and she sometimes wished she would keel over. At least it'll give them some peace! And of course Tom fell for it, felt torn and guilty but still sided with his mother. They had already booked all the hotels, resorts and flights! He said they could go for 3 weeks instead of 6, Alex wasn't having any of it, she was going to go regardless. He said he'd come later then, but she didn't count on it. An argument ensured and Alex said some things she regretted and didn't mean at all (unless it was directed to her soon-to-be-mother-in-law, in which case she meant every word.) they separated and Alex called her sister, Jessica with teary eyes. Jessica told Alex to go and she'll meet up with her when she can, probably in New York, a week after the Cape resort.
