Devin sat alone on a hill over looking the valley that the Castle and the town sat in, she had wandered off yet again...she had left Pierce at the Castle...she wanted some alone time to think about a few things.

"Huh..I wasn't expecting anyone to be out here."

She turned her head to find Lucien standing at the top of the rise with a look of genuine surprise on his face.

Here we go again...usual routine.

"Pfft, your just a stalker." her reply was snarky, just in case anyone else was there.

Lucien sighed and sat beside her "Why would I do that? I know your parents."
He looked at her, wanting to say more but unable to yet...

Devin sighed and shook her head "I don't...I don't mean that stuff you know Lucien." she glanced over at him, seeing a soft smile on his perfect face and she blushed a bit. The coast was clear, she didn't feel anyone and she felt a little easier now.

"Yeah...I know."

He ruffled her hair, which she had remarkably left down today. She meeped and poked his side "Brat! Don't mess up my hair!"
The short parts of her hair were all sticking up now and he laughed, reaching out and running his hand over her hair to straighten it for her.

Devin watched him, wide eyed with a blush on her face. Her heart was pounding in her ears, she was like this whenever he was around her. It was scary..yet...part of her wanted him near her constantly

Lucien looked down into her eyes and felt a flash of...of something and he blushed, pulling his hand away. this was getting a little too risky, anyone would come out here and see them...

"Wait-" she took a hold of his hand and held it to her heart. He blushed darker "D-Devin-"What was she DOING!? Someone was going to see-

Both stared awkwardly at each other, Lucien didn't have the heart to pull away and Devin couldn't understand why she didn't want to let him go.
She knew she should, it would look really weird if someone saw them like this....
"Lucien..." she was so confused, she wanted to be near him but he kept this barrier between them. She wanted so badly to be past that barrier, she wanted to touch his soul with her hands, she wanted to feel the touch of his mind on hers...Did he want the same? Why did they have to do this?

"Why....why does it have to be like this?" she stared at him, tears shining n her eyes.

Lucien searched her eyes and leaned towards her...he was taking a big risk...but he didn't care.

"Because I want you so badly it hurts....but it has to be this way." he whispered those words against her lips and he felt her sharp intake of breath and then her soft hands resting on his cheeks

Lucien looked deeply into her two toned eyes, one being the color of a deep summer green and the other was warm honey, he laughed softly "Such a child...asking why when you already know that answer."

Devin frowned and shook her head, all these emotions, they were whirling around in her head, driving her mad. This wasn't fair! So what if she-

Lucien purred softly and leaned a little closer "I love you Devin. Your so young....but I love you."

Devin stared into his crimson depths, falling into them and whined softly, The words she loved hearing but she couldn't say them back"Luc-"
Her protest was cut off by his lips on her own.
The Kiss was gentle and loving, and Devin felt like she was melting... Her arms instinctively wrapped around his neck and his hands found their way into her long auburn and black locks, holding her to him.

Lucien pulled away from her and Devin's eyes snapped open, she watched him and he bit his lip, Oh gods, why did he do that... "Devin...I...."
"Lucien...I know...just...just hold me...please." she leaned into his arms and he smiled sadly, there was so much they had to do still....so many things no one would understand.
"How far Lucien?" she looked up at him and reached up, touching his face gently "How far do I have to fall till I'm allowed to Love you back?"

Lucien smiled grimly "To the deepest depths of Hell Devin...." he clung to her and she to him. No one knew...no one knew but them.

"Promise to take care of Pierce till you bring me back ok?" her voice was a bit muffled by his shirt and he nodded, running a hand over her hair "I swear it My love...I swear it."

The both of them continued to share their brief moment, knowing the torment and torture their plans were going to cause...but those thoughts were brief...they didn't have much time till she had to run away screaming 'I hate you' at him again with tears in her eyes.
