Why do so many of you hate Sturm Brightblade? He restored the order of the knights of solamnia to their former glory when he saved the others. He sired the most honorable villain/goodguy (Steel) ever. He was honorable to the end and stuck to the code even when it lead to his own fall from grace. That takes guts! Sturm is the best of the original companions!

despite my seething anger at your obvious oversight of raistlin, i will be civil. rofl jk, sort of. i kind of felt bad for him a few times but most of the time i just wanted to kick him in the shins. he made everything difficult(typical male) and complicated. and he didn't like, trust or understand raistlin. his part in the story was important, but theres a reason he died so early, he wasn't THAT important. sweatdrop sorry about the typical male comment, that was my anger talking. sweatdrop

no... he is sorta cool in that regard, but the best companion is and always will be Tasselhoff Burrfoot!

I think most people find Sturm to be too high and mighty and strict to like. I don't think he's a very "Likable" character in the "I like him because I can relate to him" kind of way. But as far as a respectible character, he's at the top of the list. That and he didn't get THAT much focus in the books excetp at really random moments and usually someone else would take over the spotlight from him. He seemed very stiff and Static to me.
