History:
The Hyuuga clan has been around long before Konoha was built, being one of the clans sprinkled around the fire nation, it was probably the largest clan at the time. The clan was one of the more unique in the world, having an advanced bloodline that the world was not used to, and killed those who held them on site. Fortunately, for the Hyuuga's, they lived in a country where people with bloodlines were not chased like dogs and killed. Somewhere along the line, the Shodai and Nidaime appeared and approached the Hyuuga clan, asking for their support to create a new ninja village in their area. The elders of the clan saw it as rubbish, where the younger members saw it as a way for their family to grow and expand. In the end, the clan accepted and assisted the future Hokage's in creating the would be Konohagakure no Sato.
The clan bloodline, the Byakugan, created huge tension within the clan. These great powers lead to internal strife within the family. Because the eye grants such a unique and powerful ability, the clan became possessive and over-protective of it. Seeing only the main family as worthy users and inheritors of the eye, the heads of the clan began to place restrictions on those branch family members not in power. What resulted were two Hyuuga lines, the powerful main family who would represent the line, and the branch family who were directed to protect the main family and bear the cursed seal.
The desire to have such a power on their side led many countries to attempt to capture a member of the Hyuuga, after facing many in the Shinobi Wars. To overcome this problem, the Hyuuga sent Branch family decoys to be captured instead, so there would be know huge effect over the clan itself. This caused more tension between the families, but in the end the Branch family could do nothing, for their fates were sealed, they were caged birds.
As one would guess, most of the Branch family holds an intense hatred for the Main family. It is obvious in their speech when they talk about them that they wish nothing more then the destruction of them. The Main family sees the Branch family as weak and insignificant, and believes that they should all be killed in general. Some of those on each side believe this problem could be solved by a marriage between the two families, but such a thing seems to be near impossible.

Description: The powerful eyes of the noble Hyuuga clan. It's members are known to posses simply incredible powers unlike any other.

Rank 1: Byakugan can be activated in the place of attacking, consumes 5% of Chakra a turn. +5% chance to hit, and a +2% chance to evade.

Rank 2: Byakugan can be activated and and basic attacks can still be used, consumes 5% of Chakra a turn. +10% chance to hit, and a +4% chance to evade.

Rank 3: Byakugan can be activated and jutsu can still be used, consumes 5% of Chakra a turn. +15% chance to hit, and a +6% chance to evade.

Name: Byakugan Range
Description: The Byakugan is like a mixture between an x-ray and a thermal moniter. It can pierce through objects, detecting anything within it's range. Things that are close to the same temperatures are harder to track.

Name: Jyuuken
Description: One of the most powerful aspects of the Byakugan is the ability to see the inner chakra coil system, which is the key aspect of using the Gentle Fist style to attack said system. If sufficiently developed, the Byakugan is able to see individual chakra points, potentially allowing the user to shut off the opponent's chakra flow completely, such that the opponent cannot perform techniques that require chakra. Seasoned Byakugan users are even capable of killing with a single blow.
